Why, because I'm cautious with my money and save like my grandparents and parents did? Man they had fantastic retirements.. mostly because they were also frugal and didn't blow money on commercial goods and going out constantly? Or truck nuts?

Nope. I'm just shamelessly jealous and angry at people who made better decisions than me in life. It's my own fault I'm poor with 4 kids and shite. But I can still hate people my age with camps on rivers and nice boats, take fancy vacations every year, and still have fat 401ks and savings accounts.
frick you guys.

True but Cracker Barrel is much cleaner and a shorter trip when you’re touching cotton.

I hear that. I've been poor and wealthy. I have multiple houses now and about 10-15 years ago I was semi-homeless. It took a long time and some good fortune but it worked out.

Never asked for a fricking thing. My family had no idea what I was dealing with.

I guess from a voyeuristic perspective.

Seeing you lose the most important facet of your vain existence may very well help me blow my load.

Man it's never too late! And don't be jealous over me man. My lady and I are so damn boring. We go out to eat maybe twice a month, but we always cook at the house and have people over. And we have hobbies at the house that keep us occupied. Music for me (i've had the same instruments for years. Only upkeep is stringing and truss rod adjustments and thats cheap as hell) and she does gardening. We both enjoy stuff like cooking and outdoors stuff. Flea markets too.

But it's never too late man

Get your prostate checked regularly. And use a doctor with little hands.

Jack off right before getting a prostitute. Don't pay for her to get the easy one.

would say never no need to keep more than a grand in checking.

Where do your bills get paid out of? Mortgage, utilities, and the like?

We have 2 months expenses in our checking and 3 months in our savings. We never use debit cards for anything other than withdrawing cash.

use a credit card for every purchase possible. I haven't paid a dollar in interest in near a decade...

This. Buy everything using a credit card. Never carry over a balance. Live within your means.

Checking. But I refuse to let it dip under 1k. I auto deposit into savings from my payroll and auto deposit into my index fund the same way.

Credit card is only used for gas and groceries. Savings for emergencies. Credit line itself is for anything that I need long term financing for.. but that is insanely rare and i'm at a point where I pay cash for big purchases.

I use a credit card for every single purchase. Those perks are great.

I said i'm at a point, as an option, to do so, not that I do so.

Do you speak English? You explicitly said you DO pay cash
