Does he yank cruising pitchers and leave struggling ones?

That’s a uniquely CPM thing we are blessed with. When CPM says you get one inning, there is literally nothing you can do to get another. I hate this style because it’s difficult for everyone to be great that day, if one guy is dominating why pull him? Happens over and over and over.

Godwin has been my top pick since the search started. McDonnell has been in my top 3. As things have gone on, I think this is my only 2 preferred picks but I think McDonnell is now my top preferred pick. Thanks for the info.

Who are we trying to keep off of which trail?

I think McDonnell would be an absolutely terrific hire, he has a proven track record and would be able to excel at LSU.

In Paul's defense, the situation we were in with the one inning deal doesnt happen alot. He probably thought he should stick to it know matter what, before the game. That's hard to do though whether it's right or wrong. It worked though. The plan was to get to landon in a close game

What’s his record in mid week games?

That really all that matters.

That's a shite defense of Paul - you make a plan, then you toss it once game play starts.

Why "get to Landon" if you got guys that bring it home without getting to him?

And I've said several times, if that game goes extra innings we were fricked - all to get this guy 1 and that guy 2 and stick with the plan?

Yeah, I think SW is just interviewing all the top guys he can before he pulls the trigger but the media takes it as a deal is about to happen with each interview. SW knows he has to get this right.

I had mentioned in another thread that he took a program with only 1 tourney appearance to the CWS in his 1st year. That means he didn’t even have his own kids installed yet. That means the guy has an incredible baseball IQ along with the ability to develop the talent he has.

At one point in my career I played with Nick Ratajczak, and he loved that man. Talked about him like he was father.

That is who I want hands down.
