Skip Bertman degree in Baseball. Coached on Mainiri’s staff. Great temperament. Understands and Appreciates the history and tradition of The LSU program.

I’d rather Willis at LSUE (back in the NJCAA World Series again) than Barbier. No offense to the player that Blair was, but he doesn’t have the skins on the wall to run a blue blood in College baseball.

Having “insight” to how Skip ran the program is irrelevant at this point. Everyone knows LSUs baseball history. Bring in the best possible people. It doesn’t have to be people with any prior connection to the program. For Gods sake if the new guy wants to know how it was during skips time they can just ask him

So, again, how many of these did Nick Saban have when we hired him? None. He had zero LSU connections. He had a shitty temperament. He did not appreciate LSU’s history or traditions. And he had no degree from Paul Dietzel or any other LSU legend.

Didn't he drop the Sully hint the other day?

The OP uses strange sentence structure, but I think he’s trying to say we need to have Barbier involved with the program in some capacity. If that is the post, I completely agree. Barbier has a great presence about him. You can tell he’s a winner at anything he touches, yet is super humble and respectful.

Corbin could have come to lsu but Lau hired Maineri instead of Corbin when interviewed back then

Had the single-greatest at-bat of that 2000 CWS. He battled away like 8 fouls to hit that dinger.

Cresse got lucky.
Punk.

I was a huge Barbier fan growing up. And I think this is absolutely terrible idea.

You don’t need Barbier as a coach. You need players with Barbier’’s attitude. When he played he policed the dugout and made sure everyone was ready to play. If not, he let them know it.

Sounds like a Jim Tressel hire.

Sully - just because you can land a jet aircraft in the water without any of your passengers dieing doesn't qualify you to be a baseball coach.
