The people with severe TDS are still wearing masks to signal they’re not a conservative.

I was driving yesterday and hit a redlight, first in line. Young girl began crossing in the crosswalk and noticed I had my window down and immediately pulled up her mask. I literally LOL'd at her. Many of them have severe Stockhold Syndrome

I don’t know if you live in La., but if you do, only 30% of the population has been vaccinated.

Same here and even the blacks here wear them at a much lower rate than in larger cities. It’s almost non-existent with whites.

I just got back from the beach. Stopped in Montgomery on the way down and Birmingham on the way back. 95% of whites weren’t wearing masks. 95% of blacks were.

Went to a baptism last night at a Catholic Church. Sign in front said face coverings required for non vaccinated. There were over 100 people there, and not a single mask. I am pretty sure half or more than half of the people were not vaccinated.

But I still see people driving around or at a park by themselves masked up. I doubt the people actually wearing the masks are the non-vaxxed as the rules says. So who are the people still clinging to these things?

I went to Winn Dixie the other day to buy some steaks. They had the exact same sign on their door. Walked in, every employee was wearing a mask. Got back to the meat section and they only had 3 ribeyes, and I needed 4. Asked the young man at the butcher counter if they could cut me another one. While I was waiting, I asked him if it was corporate policy that all the employees had to wear masks. He said no, and directed me to the sign on the door. We had our entire conversation and transaction while his mask was just over his chin.

Theater.

Every mask thread on the OT and PT has principled conservatives saying it's businesses' right to ask/demand you to wear a mask and you're a douchebag if you don't. There is no end to this particular group in my area.

For the record, anyone curious as to why conservatives have been decimated in the Culture War, look no further than ^^^^

Progressives have spent 100 years demanding public and private enterprise cater to their whims with wild success.

Conservatives continue to bow to the established corporate oligarchy (now owned and operated by progressives) while their legislatures and governors suck up to them and blow taxpayer funds out the arse trying to buy their loyalty and friendship.

Where I live it goes mostly along racial lines. Black folks are still wearing masks.

Seeing young people religiously wearing the masks is frustrating. If anyone should have the mentality to say forget about it and the science to back it up, it's anyone under the age of 30.

As long as they don’t tell me to wear one who cares, just let’s me know who to stay away from when in public.

Somewhere, some statistician is working on a government funded study, on how to control certain segments of the population more effectively.

Montgomery schools just opened back up to students, a couple of months ago. Mom's who have kids that went to those schools, were having a fit on social media when it was announced. The counties to the north of Montgomery have been in class since early Fall.

Do I need to tell the demographic breakdown of Montgomery?

Here in Lafayette I’ve seen sporadic mask wearers. Even the hipster looking people have abandoned them. The literal only people I’ve seen wearing masks have been black families with small children.

What if they are germaphobic Americans?

I knew people like that before Covid hit. The mask mandate just gave them an excuse to do what they've always wanted to do without looking weird and they're not giving it up now.

The lock down was also something that green lighted their desire to stay indoors because there are germs outside.

At work last week myself and a couple of the other coaches were outside of a building unmasked, of course, and talking. One of the lady science teachers masked up as she walked by us before taking it back off once away from us. We all just shook our heads and laughed.

People who aren't vaccinated wear the mask...people who wear the mask AND are vaccinated are idiots..very simple.

Something else that I find odd, I'm retired but shop for instacart for exercise and spending money, in stores 75% of people wear masks but after you leave the store and get into the neighborhoods, black or white even when there is heavy interaction , no masks ever regardless of race or economic status.

In my 40's, I suddenly developed a pollen allergy.

Every year for the past decade, I've gotten an annoying 3-day sneezy/nasal-congestion/post-nasal-drip in the Spring, that is until last year and into this one.

The N95 & KN95 masks certainly protected me. I am leery about the month of June without them.
