Looks like the influx of new information has made Sam start questioning his skepticism. The full quote: We are just climbing out of the darkness in terms of our understanding of what's going on and there's no telling what spooky things may be true. I don't know whether you've been in the receiving end of recent rumours about our conversation about UFOs likely changing in the near term. There was just a Washington Post article, a New Yorker article. I've read some private outreaches and perhaps you have and other people in our orbit have - people who are claiming that the Government has known much more about UFOs than they have let on and this conversation is about to become more prominent. And it's not going to be, whatever, whoever is left standing when the music stops, it's not going to be a comfortable position to be in as a super rigorous scientific sceptic saying there's no 'there' there for the past 75 years. The short version is it sounds like the Office of Naval Intelligence and the Pentagon are very likely to say to Congress at some point in the not too distant future that we have evidence there is technology flying around here that seems can't possibly be of human origin. Now I don't know what I'm going to do with that kind of disclosure. Maybe there's going to be no follow on conversation to really have, but that is such a powerful strange circumstance to be in - what are we going to do with that if that's what happens? In fact the considered opinion, despite the embarrassment it causes them, of the US Government and all the relevant intelligence services, is that this isn't a hoax, there's too much data to suggest it's a hoax, too much radar imagery, there's too much satellite data - whatever data they actually have, there's too much of it. All we can say now is something's going on and there's no way it's the Chinese or the Russians or anyone else's technology. That should arrest out attention collectively to a degree that nothing in our lifetime has. Now one worries that we're so jaded and confused and distracted that it gets much less coverage than Obamas tan's suit did a bunch of years ago. Who knows how we'll respond to that - it's just to say that the need to tell ourselves an honest story about what's going on. And what's likely to happen next It's never going to go away and the division between me and anyone defending traditional religion is...where is it you want to lie to yourself or lie to your kids, like where's honesty and liability? And for me I've yet to find a place where it is and it's so obviously a strength in almost every other circumstance. It is the thing that allows you to course-correct, it allows you to hope at least that your beliefs, your stories are in some kind of calibration with what's actually going on."

That's how you get funding for next level weaponry when there is no military on Earth that can challenge you, and before anyone say, "but the Chinese..", we have enough MIRVs to prevent the People's Army from setting foot on US soil (they'll buy us before they beat us)/.

UFO is b/s. Prove it. And I don't mean a few grainy videos of some optical illusions either.

The government has been shown to lie. So has the corporate news media. If there is something of non-human origin flying about our skies, who or where do we go to for honest answers? And make no mistake about it, if we cannot identify who is behind all of us, it’s time to truly wake up.

The way I always looked at the possibility of alien life is this. If there are billions of stars in the known universe, and all of those stars have planets orbiting them, then even by the most basic concept of statistics, odds are that some planet somewhere has some kind of life on it. There’s almost no possible way that we’re the only life out there.

Like this administration can possibly tell the truth? Are we supposed to believe that many of the previous administrations knew and hid it - but THIS pile of perverts will disclose the TRUTH?

That's right.

Maybe it's going to be their cover for using air assets to assault Conservatives.

Is it so hard to believe in a 13 billion year old universe with a trillion galaxies their isn't a at least a few civilizations far older and more advanced than we are. Would they not be able to build AI and communicate instantaneously with what we know about quantum entanglement, which can work but we don't have a handle on yet? Millions of years is plenty of time for inter galaxy travel at 10% of lightspeed. PHYICAL BEING Aliens landing on the white house lawn however is going to be a stretcher.

The thing is, there’s a huge chasm between “hoax” and “aliens”. Most of these sightings and videos aren’t hoaxes and few people ever claimed they all were. The fact remains however that only two categories of UFOs exist: Those for which a logical, understood natural or man made phenomenon had been conclusively or probably discovered, and those which remain a mystery. None, not one, has provided any evidence of aliens beyond “that’s weird and we can’t explain it yet”.

The default position, the null hypothesis so to speak, remains that these all have non-alien explanations until proven otherwise because up to this point the explanations for the ones we understand have ALL gone one way. At this point we have no actual evidence that aliens exist at all, given UFOs have never actually been shown to ever be a marker for such things. We just like to assume they are or wonder what I’d they were. But assuming aliens (or space demons, or whatever else you want to associate them with) as an explanation at this point is a logical fallacy.

I don’t know. I just think if there were ufos, there would always had been chatter. I have searched newspapers from the 19th century, and they don’t talk about anything of the such.

Mick West througoughly debunked the USS Russell footage a little more than planes and a lense iris effect. It's all BS and probably just another psyop brought to you by our kabuki theatre overlords. The Clinton and Podesta were previously trying to sell the UFO narrative about "disclosure" coming into the 2016 election, so its likely that this particular psyop has been on the back burner because of Trump. If you look at Tom Delonge and the To The Stars Academy it's backed by senior ex-CIA. One wonders about the motivation and given the track record of the players. It almost certainly nothing benign. If this follows the usual pattern, the story is 100 percent fabricated, but the false flag will make it as real as possible. One can imagine quite a number of scenarios in government interests might use experimental drones and other aircrafts to achieve political and social "agenda."
