What kind of spider is this?

It greeted me at eye level in a shed. Then lowered to the ground and moseyed on off.

They go by many names but I grew up calling them cotton spiders.

Its a speckled ball eating spider. They get that name cause they like to live in underwear drawers and nest in your whitey tighties. I don't need to tell you what happens when the 20,000 baby spiders hatch

It is some sort of jumping spider. Here is one of its many cousins dragging a green lace wing across my porch the other day.
