Gonna be interesting to see if more than one sample comes up with it. Apparently they won’t DQ until a second sample tests positive. And given the med not sure how you explain that one away.

These are the previous more high profile challenges he’s faced:

quote:

The California Horse Racing Board agreed with his conclusion that a jimson-weed positive for Justify after the 2018 Santa Anita Derby (G1) was the result of tainted feed.

He also successfully appealed the disqualifications of Gamine and Charlatan from victories last May at Oaklawn Park, both because of lidocaine positives blamed on a personal pain-relief patch that assistant trainer Jimmy Barnes touched before applying tack to the horses. Gamine's win in an allowance race and Charlatan's in one division of the Arkansas Derby (G1) were reinstated in an Arkansas Racing Commission hearing last month.

They need to ban this guy, he clearly doesn’t give af since he’s been caught multiple occasions.

fricking shame. I had the 2nd 3rd and 4th horses in exactas and trifectas. Bob’s cheating cost me a ton because Medina blew up my bets.

I had a great day yesterday after starting to hear the rumblings. Where’s everybody who just called me a sore loser. The whole running of the race was suspect too.

I bet the split sample goes “missing”. Nothing will happen. He’s a media darling.

Justify shouldn’t have even made it to the derby starting fate but his positive in the Santa Anita derby was kept quiet until it was too late.

There's so much money involved the juice is worth the squeeze. Rarely does anyone get caught and the punishments are tame.

“ The New York Times said in November 2020 that Baffert-trained horses have failed at least 29 drug tests in his four-decade career.”

A sports based around gambling would have cheaters. Shocking.
