Event sponsors included The Pelican, MGCCC Food Pantries, Smithfield Foods, etc.
It is The MS Covidlaya festival.

I was in downtown Cleveland once. Saw a “Cajun restaurant” and decided to try it out. I told the waitress I lived in the jambalaya capital of the world. She got the owner and he brought me a bunch of gumbo and jambalaya. Told me it was the best gumbo North of Alabama. He was gushing
Jambalaya and gumbo both loaded with tomatoes. Bit my lip
“ Tonnaire mon chiens, ca c'est bon, oui!”

That’s a mistake... I refused to eat any Cajun/creole/soul/seafood outside of Louisiana... Streaks, BBQ or local specialty only outside Louisiana

Dude, the Mississippi gulf coast is Louisiana. We don’t claim the south part of the state.
