Reid would give LSU the #7 class nationally on 247.

If true, we're gonna be an improved team next year. Been missing a true big man since KBW.

Still love his tip-in at the end of the UK game to win it.

losing mitchell probably in exchange which is sad. I didn’t have my hopes up for Mitchell but it was one or the other and looks like it’s Reid. Both are incredible but Mitchell was a huge get. My sauce doesn’t know what to think but thinks it is Reid now and no Mitchell. I wanted Mitchell over Reid personally. it’s a win win though.

I just don’t like the package deal thing with his stepdad. Love Mitchell’s offensive game. I do like we are getting a true center with Reid though if Mitchell doesn’t happen.

Mitchell was likely a one year guy right?

Is Reid possibly here longer??

I’m with you, Unlucky. If I had to pick between the 2, I wanted Mitchell’s scoring; but Reid is a good consolation.

Will be imperative to get Days back now. Need some leadership and scoring.

Big men translating to college is always tough. From the few highlight videos I’ve seen of Reid it looks like he’s a skilled back to the basket player and has a jumpshot. Kinda reminded me of Jeremiah Robinson Earl. Those type of players translate well

If we can convince Days to come back and be a more assertive offensive player this could be better for the balance of the team perhaps?

They desperately needed Mitchell’s shooting

I don’t know who is going to space the floor on this team.

I calculated the combined 3pt % from last year of the 4 transfers coming in

154/491

31.3%

All these guys need huge jumps in that area

Miller 34% last year from 3
Pinson 33.6%

Not stellar but you can win with that. If Days comes back then you add another 40% range 3 point shooter.

Brandon Murray is a wild card, but certainly don't think you can count on a ton from him as a freshman.

I’m really hoping there’s still a chance for Mitchell too...

I think Miller has the makings of someone that will improve

But 34% is below average. He was the 5th best shooter on his team last year on what was a top 5 team.

Gotta have 2-3 guys hovering around 40% & I’m just not sure who that will be

Solid work here. I also think 3 ball stats can be really deceptive. Team make up, shooting to catch up vs open shots, forced shots situations. This past year’s offense didn’t have very much penetration and kick or moving ball continuously to work the d down for an open shot. Very much one on one ball. You need that dude that can just go get it, but it’s always apparent when a team is in the flow and transferring the ball smoothly around the court. Hopefully, the overall influx brings a combination that allows for a bit more continuity on offense and higher percentages.

Mitchell probably just one year. Reid maybe 2. Reid leans a lot on his HS coach who i am friends with so if we get him i will know more as we get into the season.

We are not taking Mitchell. Neither is FSU. Too much baggage !!
