You are gifted $100,000 tax free cash.

What would you do with it?

Save it?
Invest it?
Pay off debt?
Buy an asset?
Buy a liabilty?
Hookers, coke & casino?

Purchase 100k of Iraqi Dinar

ETA: All jokes aside give it to my parents, not that they need it but I owe them damn near everything. It’d be a nice gesture

Probably drop about $60k on some remodeling at my house. Guess the rest would go in to savings.

I'd probably spend a couple thousand getting my vehicle into brand new condition.

Put some aside for my next vacation

Save/invest the rest

“Around the World” trip on a chartered jet, takes about 24days stops in a dozen countries, 4 star meals, and accommodations included. Several travel companies offer the tours for around $100 grand.

Fortunately for me, I have zero desire big boy toys or expensive hobbies because that is just more stress to manage. The saying Mo money, mo problems is real... I will take debt free low stress and providing for others over the hamster wheel life.

RN I have 3 kids in private school and its probably my biggest expense outside of a mortgage. I would invest it and think of it as "free tuition" but still adding the money I would have spent on tuition to the same savings account so that I don't make any lifestyle adjustments.

Only after everything is paid, kids are taken care of, and I have a few mil in the bank will I consider the 65' sport fish and florida boating life.

Time for us to get new vehicles - so probably use it to replace one and save the rest to replace the other either later this year or next year.

Half right into my TD account(not tigerdroppings). The rest on a small camper.

(Hopefully my roi in TD covers the tax burden of the gift)
