Apparently it's No. 4 for vacation home buyers. Why?

Nope. Too close to monroe, simsboro, grambling, winnfield, and jonesboro. Nothing to see in ruston unless you count I-20 and pine trees. There is at least one church for every 50 people in lincoln parish, so maybe that’s the draw. Any parish named after freaking lincoln should be avoided.

Was actually pretty disappointed in Ruston when I went. Aside of LA Tech, there really isn't much more to see. That's a great campus though I must admit.

Well that would be Farmerville and not Ruston so there is that.

On a sidenote, there were some monster bucks killed this past season in Ruston. I think one was killed in the city limits. Who knew that you didn't have to go to Kansas or South Texas to kill bruiser White-tails.

At 1 point a few yrs ago, Ruston had more millionaires per capita than any town in the US. Not sure if they still hold that title.

I actually loved Ruston when I went. I had low expectations, especially transferring from LSU. If you know where to look there is some fun stuff to do

Yea probably for a college aged kid it would be great. I was visiting Homer ( yes that Homer) and went to Ruston for the day to see the school and the city as I had never been even when I was at LSU.

Ruston is great for college kids and for families.

A single, young professional that has aged past the college bars? It's probably boring as frick.
