State Farm, the state's largest automobile insurer, got approval to raise auto insurance rates as drivers returned to roadways in Louisiana.

The company increased auto insurance rates by an average 4.3% as of April 5 for new customers and existing customers as their auto policies are renewed.

Bout done with state farm. Hit a deer last winter and when I called in to report it, they didn't even ask if I was ok. Same agent since I was 15 and got my first truck.

Sounds reasonable...they lowered my rates due to the lack of traffic and now traffic is back to normal. I’ll be anxious to see if they raise it back to the previous rates or if they try to raise it more.

Wait, didn't we pass a law that guaranteed this wouldn't happen?

People doing the exact thing they’re paying insurance for?

Insurance companies are nuts.

Add up all the money being paid to personal injury attorneys and plaintiffs. That money has to be divided up among all the policies. Reduce what they get paid, reduce premiums.

I guess that doesn't come as much as a surprise. Home policies will be next.
SF can pay two NFL QB's millions to make silly commercials, but my neighbor has to get a lawyer to get paid for his storm damage from last summer. It's time to move on from them.

I love when people don’t know how averages work.

Auto insurance rates are like crawfish prices. Everything is an excuse to raise them.
