I'm not gonna link to the op-ed piece from the Orlando Sentinel. It's not so much the wokeness bothers me of his whining about the changes to Disney, its the fact someone in the early 40s loves Disney more than their kids do. Seriously, some one fill me in on this one? I don't get it.

It's bad, but not much worse than obsessing where a high school kid goes to college.

I’ve never been to Disney. How good are the bars in the adult area of Disney, whatever it’s called?

I have a hard time seeing myself getting excited over a theme park surrounded by a bunch of fat and sweaty people

I can’t imagine anything worse than a Disney obsession.

Best bar in all of Disney is the Rose and Crown in the the UK pavilion of the World Showcase (Epcot). The bars in Downtown Disney were all watered down/closed when they changed the name and atmosphere (formerly Pleasure Island).

I went to Disney for the first time in 2006 and enjoyed it, it's changed a lot since then. Now it's miserable for me.

Maybe a poster on a message board obsessed with what other people do with their time?

I don’t care what people do. As long as they don’t harm other people.

Yes... but it's still top tier weird in my opinion.

Disney World is wholesome, fun, inspiring, memorable, and an escape from our largely shitty reality. The real question is why aren’t more of us obsessed?

I'm not sure exactly what you are saying, because this sentence is hard to follow. However, are you really saying wokeness doesn't bother you?

I don't care what other people enjoy. I do agree that wokeness is ruining so many things we all once enjoyed. And it doesn't appear to be stopping anytime soon.

I don't care about going to Disney, but I do think it's an important part of American History. I would like to see it stay respected and not turned into another politicized thing.

I think you mean Disney Springs, formerly downtown Disney, formerly Pleasure Island

I think it’s a nostalgia thing, Disney World as we know it isn’t all that old really. A lot of adults have fond memories growing up and going there and that number grows as Disney world ages. I think people just like going to recapture some of those feelings from a better time

I don’t find obsessing over the park vacations as weird as obsessing over the characters and movies and filling your house and work place up with Disney paraphernalia
