If you stick to the Magic Kingdom, sure. I’ll give you that. But if you can’t find some interesting, entertaining activities or good food and drink at EPCOT, Studios or Animal Kingdom you’re not trying.

I've done those because of the kids. The food and drink do not stand out. Maybe if you are from Kansas it does.

I’ve found that the majority of hunters don’t actually hunt anything but enjoy being away from their family as much as possible and drinking cheap beer most of the day
Yeah, that can't compare to spending a cold morning in a warm Starbucks cozied up with both hands wrapped around a hot soy latte, amirite?

Going to Disney is a chore, not a vacation.

Now see I agree 100% with that. A lot of people rant and rave about the food but I find that it’s ok. And I’m not talking about quick service but even all the “upscale” dining options. We’re really spoiled in Louisiana when it comes to food.

I’ve never been to Disney. How good are the bars in the adult area of Disney, whatever it’s called?

I have a hard time seeing myself getting excited over a theme park surrounded by a bunch of fat and sweaty people

I haven't been since I was a kid, but theme parks aren't really my jam as an adult. From what I've read, it is totally packed at all times and you have to pre-reserve every single thing you want to do. I can't handle basic crowds on tourist streets in regular cities/towns, so there's no way I'd enjoy Disney level crowds.

I also have no kids and don't particularly love being around a bunch of other people's kids. Nothing against the kids themselves.. they are just being kids. But the whining, crying, running into people, etc. isn't my idea of fun. Hell, we don't even eat in restaurants notorious for families unless we sit at the bar, and that's a much smaller scale.

I haven't seen a Disney movie in well over a decade. The last one I could name being released is Frozen (which I didn't see), but I'm sure more have come out since then

I didn't like disney stuff when I was a kid, Looney Tunes!

Yeah, I wasn't big into cartoons in general. I loved Spongebob and that was about the extent of it.

I remember in middle school and high school, my friends and even my brother would have their TVs on Disney Channel all the time. For some reason, I stopped watching the channel really young. Like 9. I was a weird kid who was obsessed with the Travel Channel and HGTV and the Home Shopping Network.

Have to go to a Disney wedding this year. Not looking forward to hanging out with allegedly grown arse adults who obsess over Mickey Mouse and kid rides.
FIFY

That’s a personal version of Hell for me.

Godspeed.

It’s now called Disney Springs (formerly downtown Disney) - my husband and I went last weekend. There are some interesting places - we didn’t go to the bar I really wanted to go to bc we were just passing through - it’s called The Edison.

At the parks, the bar in England at EPCOT is good - someone already mentioned it - Crown & Rose (??)

We might try to go to the food & wine Festival this year - but not really sure

ETA: I want to take the 5 year old before she grows out of it but not sure if it’s fair to take her and not the other kids

Actually, it is very good in many places and average in some of them. But we normally do sit down meals or the food vendors during the Food & Wine Festival.

Honestly it's high up there.

We have a guy at my work who's 80 years old and he goes 5-6 times a year and says he love it. Maybe he just likes going to a place to take his grand-kids, but I find that weird. I went twice when I was young and I HATED it. I can't imagine a grown arse fricking adult liking it I just don't. Disney World is fricking garbage.

My wife loves it. Kids always have a blast. I have found things that I enjoy. Neat four roses at the Enchanted rose at the Grand Floridian. Chicken biryani followed by fried wontons and Yak and Yeti. Rubbing piglet on the belly while you yell "that's where the bacon is". The evil stepmother telling you that you're naughty when you're 4 drinks in. And Tinkerbell. My goodness tinkerbell.
