Good. Much better move than the boneheaded CA move that stated they’d “no longer prosecute petty theft (under $500)”

What does the law state is illegal and should be prosecuted?

Edit:
Shouldn’t that be changed if what’s being ignored is still considered illegal? If never illegal under law shouldn’t past convictions be an issue?

We have gotten lazy as a country and look for judges and now DAs to adjust or amend laws instead of legislatures. Similarly Why hold a constitutional convention and work on common ground amendments when we can just appoint judges to force changes to what’s constitutional? Will US ever pass another amendment to constitution?

Need to clarify “small amounts”. Fentanyl is dosed in micrograms. Marijuana is sold by the ounce.

“Amounts intended for personal use” can vary greatly depending on tolerance.

Why prosecute any drugs?

198 Americans die per day from opioid overdose...

Per day!

Over 1500 people have died from Opioids since Chauvin case started...

This is what Soros DAs are doing everywhere they're elected. Curious how it turns out.

Hope it happens across the country.

We did this a couple years ago and it failed. Probably because they went to cashless bond and not prosecuting small theft.

It created a subculture that sucked big time.

It will need some further support to impact drug use. Really all this does is free up police for other, more important shite.

Every bit of data shows it works.

Real world could show different.

Hope they use the extra funds to fight shite that is actually dangerous to the community.

Yeah, the residents aren't just running to another community to destroy while talking shite on their way out.

Coming from someone who had their community destroyed by residents who came in talking about how bad the place they came from was while trying to change the status quo.
