and Sidney Torres is involved; see proposed locations

quote:

Council Member Kristin Gisleson Palmer announced that permission had been granted for the popular chicken sandwich purveyors to open at the Algiers Plaza shopping center on the West Bank, which she pointed out would be the first standalone outlet in Orleans Parish.

Except that Xavier has a restaurant on it's campus....however I guess it doesnt classify as "stand alone"

quote:

the Atlanta-based chain has applied for permission to locate two more restaurants on the east bank of the parish, one in Mid-City and the other in the Central Business District

quote:

The Mid-City outlet would be drive-thru only and located on the corner of Tulane Avenue and South Carrollton Avenue

quote:

"A new 2,600 square foot restaurant [will be built] ... further from Carrollton Avenue than the existing building," it says. "The new site plan would include two drive through lanes, thirty stacking spaces, nineteen parking spaces, and sixteen patio seats."

quote:

the proposed downtown Chick-fil-A would be located on the ground floor at 1200 Poydras, the building best known now for the Dave & Buster's sports bar and arcade on the sixth floor, according to the documents filed with the city.

That Chick-fil-A would cater to pedestrian-only customers

One of the largest Amazon FCs in the world, and now a drive thru only CFA and a walk up only CFA?

Man... Louisiana turning into a capital of experimental ideas!

Who knows. The one in Kenner was absolutely awful when it opened, then corporate came in and cleaned house, then it became very good.

The ones in Harvey, Slidell, and Metry are all pretty good.

If they get a good operator, it will be fine. If not, CFA will fire operators until they find a good one.

There's enough hs kids in the area that they should be aight.

Although successful, something about Sidney Torres rubs me the wrong way.

the CFA in Jefferson Parish are all good...with great employees and really nice and respectable HS kids.....these in nola will be the same. Just like the Raising Canes are. Very respectable and considerate HS and college kids.

I’ll be honest I kind of like New Orleans not littered with fast food restaurants. And I love CFA.

I go down Tulane almost everyday. Keep the dead Tores chicken place there or the traffic will be hell.

It’s a night and day difference between service at the raising canes and the McDonald’s next door on Claiborne.

How many times are you going to say the word respectable?
