First 3 SEC series were against the #2, #3 and #6 teams in the country and we start 1-8. (still have to play #1 team as well). This team is very young and now without the Saturday starter for rest of year. These younguns need to focus on getting better over the course of the year and take care of business against teams like they did against Kentucky last night to hopefully win enough games to squeak into a Regional. LSU could be a very dangerous 3 or 4 seed!!

We never had a chance against Vandy. That Tennessee series was winnable for us, we were just unclutch when we needed to come through. And we didn’t play our best ball against State either. That one might have been winnable.

If we can build some momentum, we should be a #2 team that absolutely no one wants to see in their regional.

This excuse only works when you’re a below average or average baseball team. LSU should never be in a place where they can’t compete with this, no matter how “young” they are.

I realize you’re basing this on that awful SEC start we had, but I hope you’d agree the bar should NEVER be this low.

It's looking like the SEC will have a clear top 6: Vandy, Tennessee, South Carolina, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Miss St. Florida and LSU are the young guns that could make a run at Tennessee, South Carolina, and Miss St. Vandy, Arkansas, and Ole Miss are just a different class right now but anything can happen. Kentucky, Georgia, Mizzou, A&M, Bama, and Auburn will be the bottom feeders that can spoil runs.

I know it's still early but that's how I see it.

We played the #1 team. It’s Vandy nobody else they are by far the best team in this country top to bottom

We lost our Friday guy
Bullpen hasn’t been this weak in decades
Hitting has been anything but timely

Enjoy the wins when they come.

There’s 30 sec games. We’re currently 2-8

13-17 is the ceiling imo

Giving a “realistic” outlook based on the best hitting game of the year doesn’t seem to rational
