So by that rationale, I could drive to DC, murder both of them and walk because “what’s done is done, prosecuting him won’t bring the family’s loved ones back.” How stupid.

If his family has any semblance of dignity they will hunt these girls down later in life and carry out street justice upon them. If the legal system won't hold them accountable then other measures must be taken.

There is no rationale. Its complete bull shite. 13 and 15 is plenty old enough to know that carjacking is a serious crime....let alone speeding away while the victim is still hanging onto the door. Getting off without jail time is a slap in the face to the victim’s family and law abiding people
