Do you remember the very first LSU football game you attended? What year was it and who was the opponent? What are your memories from that game?
My first LSU football game that I attended was when I was in 7th grade. The date was September 30th, 2000. The opponent was the Tennessee Volunteers. It was an amazing first game for me as it went to overtime and the Tigers prevailed, 38-31. The Tigers had been upset by UAB the previous week, so it was the perfect way to bounce back. I’ll always remember this game and am thankful to have been there.

My first game was 2007 Auburn/LSU. What a good one to be my first!

UF at Tiger Stadium in 81’. Wayne Peace and Wilbur Marshall leading the Gators.
Us 10
Not Us 24
Think we opened that year with Bama and Notre Dame the next week.

LSU vs Auburn 1969, homecoming game. We won 21-20 when we blocked a field goal and extra point to win.

First that I remember was 1977 as well
I do remember going to that Rice game so that may have been my first
I remember it was Ensminger/Woodley platoon with Alexandar and Gajan getting a lot of carries
Would have been 7 at the time

It was either LSU v. Miami in 1988 or LSU v. Florida St. in 1990. I know it was against one of those two. But more than that, I remember being there in the pouring rain with my dad. That's why I know it was one of the two.
My memories from the game really aren't from the game at all. I remember walking out of the stadium with my Dad seeing a LOT of wet female t-shirts along with a group of what had to be LSU students with a girl who kept falling down about every five steps. My young self figured it was just because the road was slick. My dad informed me their was probably another reason she couldn't stand up and was acting like a buffoon.
I also remember everyone in our section just randomly standing up and looking towards the student section. I had no idea what in the hell was going on until I heard someone say there was a fight. Still didn't see what was happening.
On that note, do fights even still happen in Tiger Stadium? It feels like its been several years since I've seen one whereas in my early days of attending you could almost count on their being at least one fight a game that drew the attention of the crowd. I guess the students aren't staying long enough anymore to get so hammered that they are trying to kick each others asses at some point in the second half.

I was 5... that was 1978. I don't remember the opponent. But I remember my dad carrying me on his shoulders. We had to have won because he was very happy.

1967 - LSU v. Tulane in Tiger Stadium. I was 6 years old.
Easy Tiger win. My second game was a month later, LSU v. Wyoming Sugar Bowl. So cold I only lasted until halftime.

LSU vs Florida 2007
I was 6. I remember momma getting pissed when I kept hitting the people in front of us with my pom pom. Also remember after the Hester TD a drink flew from above us and soaked my mom's hair.

First LSU game I was able to attend in person was the 1995 Independence bowl vs a Saban coached Michigan St. Amazingly, I was able to watch on the field with a good friend of mine due to family/friends on the I bowl committee. Incredible game, Incredible plays all game long, and Kevin Faulk went off. And that place was rocking with the Bayou Bengals in the house after having brought back the magic baby!!!!!! All you youngsters could never even fathom how pumped we were to be in the Independence bowl after enduring the early 90s lolol.
