in the first half, the Tiger coach, Tinsley, was not satisfied with the team's efforts. He pulled the entire first string and sent them to the practice field south of the stadium for full contact drills while the second unit mopped up

Awesome story! How times have changed

03 @ Arizona in Tucson as a 10 year old. Been to at least one game every year since minus covid... most home, but some away (ASU 06, Fiesta Bowl 19).

Oregon State in I think 2004. Rained like absolute hell and 14 year old me almost felt sorry for that poor kicker.

Try 1976.

During his senior year, in 1976, he was a first-team All-SEC running back. He was the first LSU running back to run for over 200 yards in a single game, gaining 214 yards in 30 attempts against Rice University in 1976. He was also the first LSU running back to run for over 1,000 yards in a season (1976), and the first LSU running back to run for over 2,500 yards in a career (1973–76).

Nov. 10, 2007 vs. LA Tech for my 11th bday. Grew up going to Tech games (my pop had season tix), and after watching the band stop at the bottom of the hill pre-game & blast the "letssss go tigahs", I had chills run through my spine. Tigers ended up winning 58-10. I'll never forget that day.

As a sophomore high school football center for Bastrop, LA, I went with our coach, Gene Derveloy, to Oxford, MS, for an LSU game with Ole Miss. I remember LSU losing, barely;Dizzy Dean crowning Miss Ole Miss at half time;and buying a pair of foam dice for my 1951 Ford Victoria! Being my first attended LSU game, I was impressed with the Robinson/Taylor duo that day and met both of them later to share the experience.

LSU vs Tulane 1984

It was still a rivalry then. Mike the Tiger donned a Michael Jackson jacket during halftime and did a dance to Billy Jean or Beat it or whatever, during which he stomped on a Tulane banner. Tulane fans had had a section in the stands and they held up a giant banner that basically called LSU a bunch of queers. Then a fight broke out between the teams near the end of the game. What a magical time.

That will always be one of my favorites, along with the Earthquake game, the "doink" game of 2005, the 2007 Auburn game and the upset wins over Auburn in 2017 and 2018. Lots of good memories playing that team

1974 Homecoming.

LSU 20
TENN 10

Was my first LSU game as an 8-year-old going with my dad. TS was a big loud fun place, even before the upper decks.

That was really a good one, and was the first time in about 50 years we had beaten in Vols.

1994. Drove from Atlanta. 44-24 over Moo st in the rain. Saw the Eddie Kennison 100 yd punt return. For me, it was like “going to the holy land”. Transformed me as a fan. Probably the day i quit caring about the nfl. TS @ Only about 3/4 capacity, but still magical.

Not sure what the first game I attended was.

The first game I remember was the Rice game that LSU won 77-0. Carlos Carson was on fire.

So as a 6-8 year old I attended several Curly Hallman era games that I remember being there but don't remember the games themselves. The first game I attended that I vividly remember the actual game would be 95 against a ranked Arkansas team with a chance to go to a bowl and being up if I remember right 28-0 at halftime. We were in the old west uppers and I remember they were so steep it felt like if you misstepped forward you would land at midfield lol.

Home against Florida, 1983.
Had just moved here from Tenn and was a Jr. in HS in BR
My best bud and I went to the game - with a little buzz (Bicardi and coke).
I had never experienced anything like it in my life. Don’t even remember the score, but it was like riding a roller coaster for 3 hours. Freakin’ awesome and have never looked back - good or bad years ????

1979 Rice. I was 10 years old. I went with my grandfather. He played on the 1929 team & they were celebrating the 50th anniversary of that team. The team went on the field at halftime to be recognized & I got to see my grandfather on the field of Tiger Stadium. That will be a memory I hope that I never lose. He was a great man & the reason I went to LSU.
