I remember when 15 days to slow the spread turned into 15 weeks, and then 15 months, and unfortunately, seems to be trending toward 15 years.

And it was only supposed to hit "the rich" (1% tax on income equivalent to $80k in today's dollars up to 7% on $12mm+ in today's dollars). This is the first thing I remind people of when they start talking about a wealth tax.
