Jets trading QB Sam Darnold to the Carolina Panthers for a 2021 sixth-round pick and second- and fourth-round picks in 2022, per sources.

He got traded for a bag of groceries

I think this could be really good for the Panthers. Still super young and with New York being so god awful Darnold's full potential hasn't been tapped into yet.

Jets adding more picks to get DeShawn!

I wonder if this changes their plans of taking a QB in this year’s draft.

Can’t believe the Jets got a 2nd round pick out of him

Who are the Jets taking in the draft? Wilson?

They knew they weren’t going to be able to trade up to 4 with the Falcons to get one of the top 4 guys so they went this route
Now if something crazy happens at the beginning of the draft, that could change but doesn’t really make sense to give up assets that could’ve been used in a trade up package, if you had any intention of drafting a QB at this point

I'm for it. If he pans out, great. You see what Tannehill did once he got away from Adam Gase. All in all, this was not that much to give up for a QB who was very highly touted but got stuck on a shitty team under a shitty coach.

Yeesh, giving up a second rounder for that scrub.

The fricking media loves to ride Darnolds dick. Dude is average at best

Bears are gonna trade up again

Interesting. Maybe they believe Fields, Lance, and even Jones will be gone by pick #8

Seems great for the Jets and Darnold. Less so for Carolina.

Why is that? Cardinals got a 2 and a 5 for Rosen. All it took was one team to believe Darnold still has potential if he was in a better situation.

As a Saints fan, this sucks. I think Darnold can really end up being a Top 10 QB.

Scouts are saying that he, if made available as a draft pick right now, would still be the 3rd QB taken in this upcoming draft.
