I'm not a mask nazi by any means, but this seems a tad bit extreme, no?

I don't see why people fly with them.

Because if you have their routine down, you save a hell of a lot of money.

I wouldn't mind using them for short, direct flights. I wouldn't use them for anything else. I wish we had that option here, flying is expensive.

I have a flight on American Airlines in June. I hope that airline as well as being in first class makes it more tolerable. My 8 year old son is flying for the first time so I spoiled him.

No. The people non-ironically saying “Rules are Rules” and bullying others openly for not complying are a bunch of fricking cowards who simply not to get in trouble with the Gestapo would rat out their fellow citizens to them to save their own skin. These people are narcissistic self centered psychopaths that are capable of this. Unless you were actually a passionate Nazi, ratting out someone to the Gestapo was entirely selfish and cowardly.

I’m a former LEO who is now a flight attendant for DL.

You all are correct that a lot of FAs regardless of airline have let this BS mask mandate stuff go to their head and a lot are on major power trips. Also the majority of FAs tend to be left leaning, super covid worrier type of people.

I can tell you, though, that on DL the majority don’t care and the main reason for enforcement is due to the fact that passengers are constantly tattle telling on other passengers. It’s exhausting. I can say with certainty though I don’t care even if a 4 or 5 year old won’t wear a mask. It’s unrealistic to think they’re going to do that.

The whole thing is ridiculous and I hate that it’s a federal mandate. Hopefully it ends soon.

If you are doing something, anything, that causes a plane to on-board you can go frick yourself.

You have made someone, who doesn't get paid when the doors are open, open the doors and create havoc in their jobs. No doubt some FA's can be unreasonable, but they have to be pushed.

Spirit fricking blows. I'd rather take a bus than fly with them.

One poster mentioned that people still fly despite the unbelievably shitty customer service. I take Amtrak whenever I can. It beats the hell out of flying in every way imaginable.

This is absolutely ridiculous, no doubt about it. But I've seen probably a dozen cases now of people getting kicked off a flight b/c a child won't keep their mask on. Yes, I realize this kid was eating a yogurt, but still, I would not be flying with children at this point unless it was a absolute necessity and I could not either drive or postpone my trip.

Yet another reason I will never fly Spirit Airlines.

A two year old taking a mask off to eat isn't worth deplaning.

Eventually everyone was told to deplane. Davis said she, her mother and her son were not allowed to get back on, and neither was the man who had tried to help her son wear a mask.

Wait wtf?

What'd that guy do wrong?

You said there was likely more to the story. I'm proving to you, there likely isn't.

Could be, but the adults seem pretty calm and they have other passengers that are seemingly unrelated having their back.

Dude was wearing a yarmulke which probably means Spirit is boned.

That is why some of us assume there is more to the story.

Just went to Twitchy for the first time in months and they want you to know it's a Jewish family.

And I remembered why I don't visit that site any more.

Every single doctor, politician D or R, and regular person that pushed these masks on everyone should be put in concentration camps.

So far they have kicked two 2 year olds and a 4 year old off their planes for mask infractions.

This isn’t about mask wearing although it does provide an excuse to abuse people.

Did you actually read the article before making all these assumptions?

Yes, they were kicked off. They were allowed to re-board later.
