I said it’s the only way to raise the buyout it’s not coming from other private alumni. What’s your option throw up your hands and give up. You haven’t read this board if you think that’s the dumbest idea ever

We're way beyond Smoke level. At least Smoke and Turtle set up Pulmonary to win a NC. There isn't anywhere near that level of talent on hand for the next Coach.

What? You have a top 5 pick in the draft 2 years from now along with 3 other freshmen in the starting lineup. The highest rated pitcher to come to college last year in Floyd. Plus Money, Edwards, and Helmers contributing as freshman and a host of other young arms. This team is full of talent that even if CPM stays is going to win a lot over the next two years.

First I’m pretty sure that Woodward & Mainieri are close

Second, I’m not sure why people continue to bring up Skip
Not being disrespectful but the man is elderly & the last time I heard him on the radio he was basically rambling on
Not being disrespectful, not making fun of him, just saying the man is 82 & just because he used to be a great baseball coach it doesn’t mean he needs to be consulted

This

Yes PM is probably an a-hole
A coach isn’t supposed to be your BFF

Reid, someone who should hate PM even said he was a good coach & how much he learned from him

Found the quote from him

quote:

He teaches a good amount. You should know the game when you come in but In reality, you barely know anything compared to how he wants you brain to function. I 1000000% know the game better now due to his philosophy.

Not everyone hates PM like the rant thinks

I don't think any part of this is accurate.

Mainieri ran off a number of Smoke’s players. JT Wise comes to mind right off the top.

It's not whether he knows the game and is capable. It's whether he still wants to coach or not.

This is incorrect. We have fallen below that level of rock bottom. Smoke was fired for 13-17 in conference. That would be a ridiculous turn around to finish better than that this season.

There is a ton of highly rated, young talent on this team - that’s why it’s so concerning that they’re crashing and burning. Particularly Crews, Morgan, Thompson, Doughty, Travinski, Drost, Floyd, Money.

Why does the Title 9 stuff help her? It shows that LSU doesn’t care as much about women’s sports as men. No way we put up with such a putrid job (especially in a program that used to be elite) in a men’s sport like football, basketball or baseball. She needs to be gone just like she wd be if it was a mans sport. Otherwise we are shortchanging our women athletes.

BTW CPM needs to go too

Brilliant decision there by Paul.

That was definitely a personality clash, as I recall.

I will give Paul (or more accurately, Terry Rooney) credit for turning Louis Coleman’s career around. He was hot garbage under Smoke.
