I don't have much info on how to do it but i sold my house with FSBOBR and didn't get many hits. When my wife put it on Zillow is when things took off. Probably sold it two weeks after that

Offerpad is another option if you can't get Zillow to work, or is you want to use it in conjunction. I've never bought/sold on either, but several of my neighbors have used offerpad. They said it was straightforward and quick

Thanks! I just looked at that - do you know if they sold their house to Offerpad (says thats an option on the site), or did they just use offerpad as a listing site?

When you list on Zillow, they will contact you to make sure you are the owner listing the property. Are you answering the number when they call after submitting the listing? I believe it's a Washington number.
I listed mine on Zillow and sold it cash 4 days later in October.

Wow that is awesome!! I havent gotten a call from them at all (its only been 24 hours). How quickly did you get a call from them?

I had trouble listing mine because the listing used a landline and not my cell number. The landline blocks robocalls so they weren’t getting through. I contacted customer service and asked if the verification could come to my cell. They didn’t even ask, just made my listing live. Contact them.

Pre-Covid I listed on Zillow. Within 24 hours they called to verify the info and it was listed. Under contract in 12 days. Very easy process.

I listed on Zillow and got several calls. Buyer ended up being a word of mouth guy though.

I used my cell #, they still haven’t called. I logged a trouble ticket - and still haven’t heard back. Not sure if they are just crazy backlogged or what

Did you call them?? I tried and couldn’t get anyone on the phone, the phone prompts said to log a ticket and I did that.

There are few things in this world I hate more than trying to negotiate with blow hards with FSBO. Nothing is wrong with you their property. They will make no accommodations. They don’t agree and dispute everything on the inspection.
They should just put up a sign that says “For sale as is” because that’s pretty much all it is.
I’ve had nothing but terrible experiences with those bunch of goofballs.

I just went through this. Could never get Zillow to post my listing, no on ever called or reached out to me. I finally went through Fsbo.com and paid 399 for a broker to put the house on MLS. It is well worth it. They will assign you a broker in your area, he helped me alot.

Zillow used to have a feature called “Make Me Move." The basic gist of the feature was to ask for a price that was in excess of the value and hope that someone just really wants to buy your home. Just for sh!ts and giggles, I put a price on my house that was about 20% more than the value of the house. I got at least 100 emails within a week. About 90% of those emails were from realtors wanting me to list my house with them. But I did get a few requests from people claiming to be actual buyers wanting to come see the house. I wasn't selling so I just ignored them mainly because I was worried that some might be scam artists looking to rob my home.

I sold our last house on Zillow. What do you want to know?
It took a few days for them to call me.

There's one common denominator here. Maybe if everyone you encounter are "blow hards" and "goofballs," you are in fact, the "blow hard goofball."

What broker did you use for the $399 to get it on the mls? Will definitely go that route
