Better than Burrow’s too. So?

I still think that MB15 would be #2 in LSU record books if he got a full season.

No question. Especially if he improves this off season. That dude was scary accurate.

Love Max but he is so overrated on this board. Reminds me of how high this board was on Finley when he clearly lacked mobility, down field accuracy, touch, and decision making under prsssure.

didn’t do anything better than brennan outside of the running aspect of his game

Which is a really big deal.

Yeah, it’s almost like we care more about wins and losses than we do passing yardage!

Brennan is my dark horse candidate for Heisman. I think he becomes the front runner after a victory against Bama.

You’re comparing apples to oranges. Florida only scored 35 and OM had 48 but most of our plays went to Boutte. He was 75% of the offense. Also, we weren’t calling plays well In The first 3 games.

Myles has to overcome 40 points in his losses.

Myles is a better QB.

perhaps, but that's because we now throw (beginning in 2019) FAR MORE PASSES than any previous LSU offense. So yes, current QBs will have bigger numbers.

Remember, statistics can't be viewed in a vacuum - there must be context.

I would say they are about even. Max is clutch. Myles is not. Max can run and well. Myles does not. Myles has a better arm and accuracy. But overall I would go with Myles. Myles didn’t do anything wrong last year except for getting hurt..... he was a baller on that play......

Brennan only played in 3 games, and threw for over 1,100 yards and 9 TDs. I don’t see how anyone thinks he was the problem last year, but this is the rant I guess. You could see his confidence growing, and he was much more poised in the pocket by game 3. He was making the adjustments he needed to make before he was injured. He will be the starter this year.

that wasn't the play where he got hurt. Brennan said it was a tackle in the field where the DL landed on him and the way he fell put pressure on his abdomen and caused the injury.

I keep seeing yall say this, but I look at brennan stats and I dont see 3rd down conversions anywhere. I see it listed under the team stats, but its not an individual stat

The QB is responsible for this. He is the engine of the offense.

Here's Max. Not looking at win loss, who was better?

I’m no TJ fan, but I believe Max or TJ QB sneaks it in 1 play. They were able to the rest of the season!

Your point would be valid if a sneak was called and brennan got stuffed.

But....

A QB sneak wasnt called though.
Brennan didnt get stuffed.
TDP got stuffed twice.

Clearly, that's why it's an individual stat and not a team stat.

I'm not sure what I am looking at because you purposely cut the stats.

However, I don't think it's a fair comparison given the competition faced.

Also, I would like to see 3rd down conversion % please. This is important to me. Regardless if some think this is a team stat, how the team responds to the QB is still important.

Also, if comparing then it needs to be as a starter only. IMO. So I would not compare whatever stats Max had coming in as a backup without first team reps.

Then you should understand one was a 4th year player versus a true Fresh.

So I truly don't get how you can confidently say one was better than the other. I would probably start Brennan, but I am curious as to how he is recovering from his injury.

It seems like everybody just assumes he is his old self, but do we even know that?

No way Myles overcomes an 11pt 4Q deficit to Ole Miss! Sorry, he just doesn’t do it!
