If Emmitt Williams stayed, how deep of a run does this team make?

Could definitely use him rebounding the ball and just his overall energy on both ends of the court.
I think he would have easily gotten us 2 more Ws in this shortened season and makes us a legit top 8 team in the country going into next week’s big dance.

**Currently playing in the G League, and I really hope he makes it to the NBA and get thats that bread he left for

This team with Bigby-Williams. Sign me up.

ETA: Emmitt would definitely help.

This team would be much better just by his sheer will and determination but you still don’t know. The NCAA tournament is all about matchups. This team can make a run if they catch the matchups right.

Emmit is going to have to learn to be a shooter if he wants to make it in the NBA. If he can do that then he can be a role player somewhere. Develop that midrange jumper like Big Baby Davis did.

This team exactly as it is assembled this year can definitely win two ncaa tourney games. Two things they need to do. Keep the rebound stat close to even (it's a bonus if we win this stat) and shoot 40+ % from 3. So 10 for 25 or better.

Best case for 3 point shooting is that we are efficient in the half court and getting good open looks based on our ball movement and scoring easy 2's. When we do that we can easily shoot that 40% or better.

Williams brings not only athletic ability but also leadership that this team is lacking. Smart when he wants to does show that leadership and effort but not consistently. Williams has that motor that doesn’t quit that raises his teammates.

Offensive rebounding used to be a top 2-3 hallmark of Wade’s teams, having Emmitt would bring that back and balance us out.

BTW: Leblanc should be starting over Hyatt and Wilkinson

Take away the selfish, street ball attitude, and this current team would easily be 20-4 to 18-6 and looking at around a 4-6 seed in the tourney.

So we are just two wins away from being unranked to the Top 8?

If Emmitt had stayed and Shariff had stayed healthy, we would have had so much more depth in the front line. Days is foul prone and when he goes out, we are in trouble. LeBlanc has been a god send this year, we would have really been in trouble without his tough play down low.
