They probably won't use them but, Wilbon and Kornheiser have always seemed knowledgeable about hockey on PTI.

The deal with ESPN is for half of the TV rights. FOX could still be part of the other half.

Yeah the Red Wings were on a lot also. If the Red Wings get decent it'll be Rangers, Devils, and Red Wings most of the time. The Red Wings are like the Packers or Steelers of the NHL. They have fans everywhere.

To be fair, they already cover hockey, just that it's SN in Canada which is ESPN. The graphics are the same, and what have you. I'll still stream from Canadian feeds whenever/wherever I can, or regional Fox feeds.

Details just released, over 1,000 games per season on ESPN+ and 75 games per season exclusive to Hulu. 25 games per season on ESPN or ABC.
Not liking this at all. Hiding the NHL behind the ESPN+/Hulu paywall. Relegated to the app like MACtion football. Limited games on the main network.

Right now there are 1 to 2 games every night in NBCSN. We're going to go from that to 25 per year on a cable sports channel? Ridiculous.
There is going to need to be a ton of content on the other provider they sign with. Maybe Fox will sign to put 1-2 games a night on FS1? That 1,000+ games on ESPN+ kind of sucks up the available inventory of games available to another provider.

Yeah I already have ESPN+ so merging NHL.tv into the base package is fantastic.
