My favorite is "I'm not taking some experimental vaccine with unknown long term effects! Instead, I'll take my chances with the novel virus with unknown long term effects!" Take a guess which one has a death count of zero
Are you a propagandist or uninformed, CDC reports deaths following vaccines are approaching a thousand dead.....

I may be testing this theory this week. I had Covid back in August. (6 months ago) which is well base the 3 months the CDC says I am “protected”.
My daughter road in a car with my dad who tested positive the next day (and he was at day 11 after his first round of vaccine)
I am the one bringing food and checking my daughters temp as no one else in the house has had covid. Will be taking her tuesday to get tested.
Will know by next weekend if I can get it again if she tests positive.

Deaths following vaccination, yes. But the CDC hasn't linked it to the vaccine
quote:
Over 76 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through March 1, 2021. During this time, VAERS received 1,381 reports of death (0.0018%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine. CDC and FDA physicians review each case report of death as soon as notified and CDC requests medical records to further assess reports. A review of available clinical information including death certificates, autopsy, and medical records revealed no evidence that vaccination contributed to patient deaths.

Wow! You are remarkably wrong. Getting CV is far better than getting vaccinated in the range up to 9 months.
I know of multiple people both symptomatic and lab confirmed for COVID with negative tests in between (thus isn't a long term shredder scenario) in a 4-5 month time frame.
The reason is straightforward and I explained why in the "remarkably wrong" post: Your immunity isn't to the "virus" but to a specific antigen of the virus, determined by chance. If your body picks an antigen prone to sustained mutation, it wouldn't confer long protection.
Vaccine attempts to limit antigens to react to only the highly conserved options which are highly unlikely to change via mutation.

It’s not about YOU.
The health of people other than my family/close friends is not my concern. They are more than welcome to take the vaccine.

The question is are you this poorly informed or are you essentially lying in the hope of swaying the opinion of people who are uninformed and don't understand causation vs correlation.
From the link you posted:
quote:
“VAERS is a passive reporting system, meaning it relies on individuals to send in reports of their experiences to CDC and FDA. VAERS is not designed to determine if a vaccine caused a health problem, but is especially useful for detecting unusual or unexpected patterns of adverse event reporting that might indicate a possible safety problem with a vaccine. This way, VAERS can provide CDC and FDA with valuable information that additional work and evaluation is necessary to further assess a possible safety concern.”
Without a medical diagnosis or autopsy, the report of an adverse incident following a vaccination is not proof that the vaccination caused any particular symptoms.

No I wouldn’t make it mandatory to answer the question.
When you don’t vaccinate, even though you don’t die, and may not get real sick, you allow the virus to replicate thousands of times for 7-10 days. Some of those replication have errors, called mutations. Most mutations are insignificant and make no difference. But statistically, after thousands and thousands of chances, a mutation occurs that matters. It may become more contagious, it may cause more harm, no one knows.
So by not vaccinating because you’re sooo healthy and you don’t care, and you’re so charged up politically and have no basis or understanding of science, genetics, statistics, you’re perpetuating the problem globally. Your ignorance is the problem.
If young healthy people get vaccinated, herd immunity will occur, and the statistical probability of mutations that matter (aka variants) goes way down and this thing could be gone for good. A complete stamp out.
But keep up your attitude about science and politics and allow this thing to linger like influenza year to year. Yeah, your way is so much. Much better than a tiny shot in the arm.
Edited to remove name calling.

I had covid when I just got vaccinated. I am ready to submit my body to science.

I’ve heard people argue that the vaccine actually provides better protection going forward from Covid than if you actually had the virus. Why is that the case?
also heard this and it's something to do with it being the new type of mRNA vaccine. so instead of just giving you the virus it is actually giving your cells the instructions on how to fight the virus directly.
quote:
Also why are people who had Covid getting the vaccine now? Isn’t that sort of redundant at least in the early stages of the vaccine being available?
I've had the virus. not getting the vaccine, but I heard doctors were recommending getting 1 shot out of the 2 if you had the virus. It was kind of a mindfrick to me hearing that.

Is this or is this not still an experimental vaccine? Honest question. You make good points but to jump to doing it for the greater good then first shouldn’t we make sure this is actually for the greater good. It’s not like there is a current COVID vaccine that was just pulled from the market for safety concerns or anything.

You can get the virus again even if you've had it before. Don't be an idiot. Get vaccinated.
It's not really a vaccination. Doesn't stop or prevent you from getting it. It's based on just like getting the flu shot every year.

No! This is not experimental. The technology and techniques have been around for decades!
A panel of scientists and industry experts literally just took a group of Trump voters and followers and sat them down in a question and answer session to have all fears and questions answered. They all came away shocked at the lies and misinformation and are now getting vaccinated. There’s nothing to be afraid of. Literally.

Just because you can get it doesn’t mean it’s the same!
Stop the misinformation! Vaccinated people who still get it have way less severe symptoms, have a 0% hospitalization rate, and rid the virus very rapidly. The symptoms are reduced and again, the number of replication, and thus mutations in the population reduce greatly and therefore reduce the statistical chance of variants developing in the population.
We can stamp this thing out but it is going to require everyone stop the politics and listen to smart scientists. Even if you’re so healthy. Herd immunity with the aid of vaccinations is the only way we get rid of this shite completely and not have to do this yearly. It may still happen but we should try our best to irradicate it completely so we can be done with this shite entirely.
Ignorance and politics are the only thing preventing this a-hole virus from going away fully.

A bit off topic, but I don’t understand when people say this, as if “science” hasn’t royally fricked up before. Drugs with horrible side effects, the recent vaccine disasters in India and Africa, etc.
This may indeed be safe, but I think those afraid of long term issues ranging from autoimmune disorders to immune suppression are simply being wise.

since actually getting covid means maybe you get horrible symptoms or maybe you die or maybe you pass it on to a friend or family or maybe you get aggravating symptoms that lasts months I'm guessing vaccine protects better.
you of course intend to ignore the plethora of downside possibilities and just start this science test after you recovered 100%.
vaccines differ. none protect 100% and none protect against a new variant that comes tomorrow.
just like flu. moving target.
