I spent $231
Vintage old Louisville shirt $5
Red Blooded Hats $15
Jewelry (the bangles are Sterling) $9
Sealed skin care (I did well with these before) $150
#93 Stanley wood plane $10
Griswold waffle iron $42
(I’ve started semi restoring it)
The two homeruns will be the Griswold which is worth about $300, and the plane, worth about $150.

That NRA and US Border Patrol hat are going to be worth a shite load 25 years from now

I find some of these threads interesting and see how you make money on a lot of this stuff, but those hats can't be worth your time. I don't think there worth shite and you have to deal with selling them too.

I went to a few here in KC today. Wanted the Elvis Bust decanter but wasn’t paying that much for it. I did happen to find some lovely boots for the misses.. happy anniversary honey.

plane, worth about $150.
if the non-baws of the ot want a mind frick, start down the rabbit hole of what highly sought after antique hand planes go for. some of them have sold for close to and over 6 digits.

It’s the hunt, buying something that I don’t know the value of. If they’re not worth anything I’m out $15 but a few things I bought I’m making a ton of money on

Hey man, if you find an nra cap interesting more power to you. I like a lot of shite a lot of people consider junk too, but you're going to make 5 bucks on a hat that I think half my grandpa's friends have.

Did you go to a strippers house that performs her act as Elvis?

Most the the super expensive ones are old molding planes from Miller, Norris, Adams and Tidey or infill planes from some of the English manufacturers. Off the top of my head the most expensive "common" Stanley is the #1, useless if you have normal-sized hands but highly sought after for collections.
Some of the best new planes are extravagantly priced. A new Karl Holtey A13 infill Smoother can run you near 10K and isn't his most expensive plane.
Honestly, I will be surprised if AT can get near $150 for that shoulder plane, even if the iron is in good shape and the sole and sides are flat and perpendicular I would guess no more than half that. It appears to have almost no nickel plating left. Looks more like a user than a collector to my eye.

Those hats are sold at every shitty gas station in the south so not sure on the value there

It’s his hobby for frick sake. I find his threads interesting, and sometimes funny when OT baws start trying to buy stuff off of him.

So how do you go about establishing the value of these things

Nice Griswold find! You never know what you are going to find. I picked up this 1958 football rule book at Mickey Mangham’s estate sale. I guess Tommy Lott was his roommate, looks like both their names are on it with a room number.

Sold same item on eBay. I was wrong about the Griswold. It’s about $200, not $300

Do you have an idea of the value when you buy these items?

I want that plane.
How do we get in touch with you?

Yes and no. I’ve been doing this for so long, I have a good idea of what to buy. I knew as soon as I saw the Griswold for $42, it was a great find. The Stanley plane, I’ve dealt with before (not this one), and I knew I couldn’t miss for $10. The skin cream I’ve bought one other time. Sold one box for $80. There was four boxes for $150.
Here’s the Griswold after a quick restore
