Help finding a good 65” tv for around $1,000.00 or less

We bought the latest greatest at the time Samsung SUHD tv in 2015 for like $3,600.00 from bestbuy and has the whole geek squad install 9 yards...
It has already started to go out after about 5 years. Color is super dim all across the center and there white blotches to the left and right sides of the screen. Anyways, looking to replace with a much cheaper 65”. I’ve always loved Samsung’s but tempted to stray to a different brand.
Was at Sam’s the other day and saw these two for around $1,000.00 each that had amazing looking pictures in store. Not sure if worth is shite though and would appreciate any advice... TIA

That Visio p series has been good for years with it getting better each iteration. Look into the tcl TVs.

I've seen that Vizio at $999 quite a few times in a 65''

I'm a fan of Samsung and have not had any issues with the ones I have owned. The 65" I Have currently was purchased from sam's about 6 years ago.

Of those two, the Vizio is your buy. People get too caught up in buying the same brand name, but don’t focus enough on the tech inside.
TCL 6 series is the best tv for that price range, but it is a Chinese owned company. That matters a lot to some people. Vizio is based in the US.

Vizio P series quantum is QLED technology like top of the line Samsung.
Vizio supports Dolby Vision, though. I have a 75" P series Quantum X and it has been amazing.

I have two TCL Series 6 65" TV's, one on my covered patio. I paid way less than $1k for each and had Best Buy mount the one on the patio.

I started putting TV's in rotation. We got a 65" Vizio for under $400 1.5 years ago, I am going to upgrade, probably to the LG 75" that runs $748 everywhere but will go on sale for $600 when we close on our new house. The Vizio will do Patio duty. I just really liked the LG user interface and honestly all the TV's look better than TV's did 2 years ago. Hopefully in a couple of years I get a nice 85" to replace the 75", the 75" can replace the 65", etc. etc.

65 Inch TCL Series 6 Mini LED
Im assuming this is the one he is talking about. i have a series 5. This TV looks legit and seems to be a huge favorite on Rtings. Seems like its the best TV in the price range but you can spend more and get better

The TCL is miles ahead of Vizio. Vizio has the worst smartv platform of all TVs, while TCLs Roku is the best.

TCL series 6 is your answer

So price difference aside, the TCL is better than the vizeo I posted above?
Thanks for info everyone

Get the Vizio avoid TCL. Vizio is American. This board is in love with cheap Chinese junk.

Thinking vizio doesn't source many of their components from China

Exactly, they are buying the parts from China like everyone else. But, the company isn’t owned by China.
TCL is putting out TVs well above their price point. So you figure the Chinese are doing something to keep that price low...
