Well said, Commissioner Carr.
Looks like he has a 5 year term that expires in 2023.

Seems clear where we're headed here.

Marxism doesn't have a First Amendment. The left did have gulags, re-education camps, and killing fields for anyone who didn't submit to the party line though.

Let me guess. Chuck and Nancy?

Can someone explain to me how this is NOT blatantly unconstitutional? These are members of Congress for frick’s sake.
It should be more than enough reason to force their resignation from Congress.

Their actions are wrong, wrong, wrong. That does not necessarily equate to "unconstitutional."
Alright then, is there nothing governing members of Congress from strong arming private entities to curtail our constitutional rights without “making laws”? Like similar to this.

The left has true believers of any thing said against them must be put down and they run to it. All the while claiming it in the name of saving democracy.
Hitler would approve.

1. That is seriously messed up.
2. That response is only by ONE commissioner. I wish there was a similar response by the entire commission.
3. This is part of the fallout from the Trump "stolen election" fiasco aftermath. That will be used as a cudgeon to beat conservatives for years, if not decades to come.

The left has figured out they can use Big Tech, MSM and corporations to skirt around violating the 1st Amendment. It's pretty brilliant really

Has the “don’t like it build your own cable provider” crew posted in here yet?

These congress members who sent letters broke their oath of a congressman/woman. They should resign immediately for their blatant attack on the constitution.
quote:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."

Seems like this would directly violate the first amendment with government not trying to intimidate private companies from broadcasting news.
Well, they didn't "technically" pass a law, so they have not violated anyone's first amendment. We've already set the precedent that big tech can censor content based on ideology, so why couldn't cable providers?
I mean, if you want to get your message out, all you have to do is start your own cable company that uses its own infrastructure. I'm not sure what the big deal is.
