I hate everything regarding plumbing when I try to do it myself.
I enjoy plumbing projects around the house. No plumbing project can be completed without a (3) trip minimum to the hardware store.

I dont touch electricity unless it is so simple a monkey could do it, and carpentry? Hell no.

but when he bills for anesthesiologist work he bills for triple the amount, then renegotiates a few months later with the insurance for a fraction of the billed amount, then gets paid for 80% of the renegotiated amount by the insurance company, and then bills the remainder to the patient who will more than likely not pay and the bill is sent to medical collections who might buy the debt for 25% of the billed amount.
Ain’t medical billing grand.
Maybe dont try to bill triple the amount right off the bat?

I’ll keep saying it.
Getting into the trades instead of that 5-year BS in Arts degree (while swimming in debt) isn’t a bad career move. It’s even more true today than 20 years ago.

I would still prefer my son go to college and get a business degree then go into a tradesman business. Plumbing, A/C and electrical work isn't being replaced with a robot anytime soon.

AND not 220. It could be a simple job on a 220. It’s still just a slap at 110. Not 220.

Exactly. If you want someone that shows up on time, can communicate with customers, help with scheduling, send out invoices, etc you aren't getting that at minimum wage.

Most embarrassing thing here is that you don't know how to repair a burst pipe...

I would put painters in that group.

You get paid to train. Can't beat that. Instead of student loans, you'll get a paycheck.

Poor bastard probably makes north of $40/hr and has damn near since he started as a journeyman. Especially while you were shelling out $5k/ year for a college degree to make less money. And I say that as someone with a college degree myself.
Why would you go to college for a profession that pays less than 40 an hour? I know people do, they either love their job, or they're morons that got fricked by the system believing they had to go to college.

we just did a whole home remodel and I had one room untouched, so i was here for every single crew.
plumbers and electricians were by far the most professional and punctual and seemed to be doing the best out of the crews.
the rest were definitely the type of people that did not chose a job in the trade.
