The excuses are endless. The cold, the amount of rain, the hurricane feom last september probably messed up the cycle. Too windy and global warming all led to them being $4 per pound this year

It's early in the season. They're always high right now and during Mardi gras through easter.

$3.49/lb in Ponchatoula/Hammond

It’s actually funny that this is a thing. We were selling wholesale for $1 in March last year the catch was so good. If y’all are paying high prices it ain’t the farmer
