Does anyone find this building attractive?

The new courthouse next to it is very nice. The new IBM building is very nice. But the new Baton Rouge downtown Library is fricking hideous - it's even worse than the aging brutalist government building behind it. When can we get both of those ugly buildings torn down and replaced?

Absolutely. I like the clean, modern design.

It's interesting, and probably some type of architectural feat. I agree with you about the brutalist pile of crap behind it.

Really clean design. Wish there were 20 more in a 2 mile radius.

The whole front of it nearly collapsed. They had to hold it up with giant jacks for months.

This is a much cleaner design just 5-6 blocks away:

I wouldn't be upset if all new office buildings downtown followed IBM's design theme. It meshes reasonably well with the state office campus.

Attractive or not, it certainly adds character.

I don't know about "attractive", but I like it. Interesting at least.

Looks to me like they're going to regret it one day.
Reminds me (not in style, but in how ugly it is) of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas. I cringe each time I see that building.
