Arkansas Republican State Representative Mark Lowery (R-Maumelle) defends his bill, The Saving American History Act of 2021, in the legislature to ban certain curriculum from being taught in schools.
quote:
Lowery proposed House Bill 1232 that prohibits the use of public school funds to teach the 1619 Project curriculum that states the slavery of African people in a Virginia colony well before the Declaration of Independence in 1776 was the beginning of American history.
quote:
Still, Lowery says the 1619 Project was created by a historian to be a theoretical perspective in search of evidence that was not there.
"There is a historic proof that slavery existed. There's no doubt about that. I think that’s the thing that we have to focus on is the factual history of America. There is no factual history that America was built on slavery,” he said.

1619 is propaganda masquerading as history.

This type of bill needs to be passed in more States. These people are trying to rewrite history.

Bogus history that ignores only 6% of all slaves came to what is now the US.
That ignores that slavery existed in North America prior to that by the Spaniards.
That Africans sold their own into slavery to the the Arabs who sold them to the Dutch and English.
That slave importation ended in 1808.

Prior to 1776. In other words, British history.

The problem is it wasn’t made by a historian and almost every credible historian has denounced it.

We were an English colony until 1776
So they should go take their complaints to the Queen in Buckingham Palace. I’m sure they’d be very understanding

States need to reject Federal Funding and take back their education system

1619 is trying to poison the tree of america so it's proponents can call all the fruit bad.
it's pretty easy to see what CRT and 1619 are doing. if we say racism is in everything then we can use that to deconstruct all the outcomes they don't like.

To be fair, history is propaganda masquerading as history. History is always written by the winners.

So 1776 was propaganda? Just stop.

But it is “fake but accurate” in the left’s eyes, so it is all good in the hood.
