One way to make green energy more “efficient” is to artificially make fossil fuels more expensive.
This is coming to you from the same brain trusts in congress who think reducing the deficit is saving money.

How much was the lower octane? I think that's what most people price gas at.

It’s going up fast.
Remember, the 2008 economic meltdown happened in part because of very high gas prices. A lot of people ignore that but, it’s true.
We’re headed for an economic disaster.

I remember when Democrats demanded everyone have the right to own a home that lead to that economic disaster.
some how Wallstreet was blamed for it...
but the root of all of came from Democrats... people like freaking Maxine waters...and every single minority in Congress...
brilliant minds I tell you...

Nobody wants to talk about how the government forced fannie mae and freddie mac to be stuffed with up to 50% sub prime mortgages, all on the name of "equity". Yeah, the pushed minority housing initiative fricked up the world economy. But every NPC in the country just thinks it's because of the evil corporations.
What blows my mind is that about 10 years later, we are back in the same boat. The US government playing russian roulette with the economy in the name of "social equality" . What a load of horse shite.

$3.20 yesterday at Costco. Costco is usually about .20 a gallon cheaper than other places around here.

More a function of local taxes at this point and lower levels of production at this juncture.
Posted on 1/26/21 at 10:33 am to KiwiHead
No change in local taxes here.

Then it is a function of the price per barrel. Price is up 5 per barrel in the last month. Could also be the dollar. Anyone checked the currency trades?

Our economy has been built in for cheap gas prices the last four yrs. Raise fuel cost and federal taxes and see what happens
