That thing the claim is the arc of the covenant is an old hollowed out log.
Did you think the Arc was adorned with gold and jewels?

The priests that watch it, all die in a few years from radiation - The people in that region in Ethiopia practices Christianity the exact same way that the very first church did. And the Jews in the area also practice an ancient form of Judaism. It’s a fascinating study. There are some really good documentaries about the region.
Link or names of docs pls

This is a real thing. I mean, it could be bogus, but they are sincerely claiming they have the ark of the covenant. If you're into weird history, it's worth looking into.
It is indeed a real thing. Not sure if they have the real ark, but they believe they do, for sure.

People claim a lot of things. If anything , Id believe Ron Wyatt and his ARK stories than people who claim the have it but never willing to show it .

Probably not, but there are some legit artifacts out there. Locally many churches have some interesting claims.
The one that amazes me is there are zero claims anywhere in churchdom having to do with any earthly remains of Mary. It is almost like she was completely assumed into heaven or something.

You don't know that. I've seen a couple of specials about it and I too am skeptical BUT the Ark being in Ethiopia isn't a stretch; whether it's in this church or not is a different story.

Bro, come on. Some churches in Europe have pieces of the real cross or the actual crown of thorns.

It sounds like they are watching a container of Uranium that fell off the CIA’s truck on their way up the African Continent to deliver some to a Middle Eastern country. Probably Iraq. It’s where GWB got the idea for “weapons of mass destruction”.
See.. that’s why they didn’t find any. It fell off a truck in Ethiopia.
It said in English.. “For the love of God, do not open this.” Hence the confusion.

so they claim. They have nothing to lose because it cannot be proven, and everything to gain because anyone who believes it becomes more under their control.
No lose for those in charge.

Which one of you edited the Wikipedia article?

750 people who were hiding in the church were brought out and killed by Ethiopian government troops and Amhara militia from central Ethiopia. Locals blamed Raiders of the Lost Ark of the Covenant.

course not, but I would hope freed slaves who were in the construction business could do better than hollowing out a log to carry broken tablets sent down from God and Aaron's rod.
