Why shut it down? The oil is coming to market whether you like it or not. There's just going to be a shift in transportation from safe and clean pipeline to dirty trains and trucks.

These "environmentalists" are going to prevent the Canadian Oil Sands from being refined in Gulf Coast refineries, the cleanest refineries in the world. So these oil sand companies are just going to transport the oil west to ship to China so it can be refined in some of the dirtiest refineries in the world.
