In your experience, with yourself or people you know?

I know a guy who has three DUIs, wife filed for divorce, and he has been picked up for drunk in public a couple times. He has lost his job and has nothing going on financially. Does have a decent nest egg, because he used to do well.

At this point he still manipulates to get alcohol 24/7. Really doesn't express any real desire to clean up.

Does this guy just have to do some time or drink himself to death? How low have you seen someone go before they turned it around?

In my opinion the term “rock-bottom” is subjective. Different people have different ideas of what rock-bottom means.

Rock bottom was when my biological father left my mom and sister when I was little. It’s all up hill from there.

Everyone's rock bottom is different. That guy may not hit rock bottom til he's eaten away his nest egg and living on the street, or he may hit it tomorrow.

Rock bottom is a wrestling move performed by The Rock, generally before his finishing move “The people’s elbow”.
