Dang, I travel to the south every two weeks. Just told my wife I was gonna buy non refrigerated groceries there. Frick! forget that.

I think his sales were through the roof after he went and people found out he went to DC.

Does his social media suggest that in the past he liked and supported Trump?

I guarantee he started hearing from the big guys that his shelves would be empty.
Supplier issues are really the only thing that makes any real sense for why he would make this apology. None of the Rouses I frequent, including the Tchop location in NOLA, were just as crowded as pre 1/6

The Treaty of Versalis was kicking their asses over a stupid war that wasn't anyone in particular's fault. Guess who showed up to tell Mr. Common Man German that he was alright and to elect him and he would set things straight? I hope it doesn't come to that in the good ole US of A almost a hundred years later.
We need to collectively start boycotting their businesses, but (sadly) we won’t.

quote:this is why he’s a bitch. Just say you don’t support what happened if you really have but to say you didn’t go to support Trump when you clearly did makes you a cuck on the level of Brees
But I really don't buy this. Why else would you go? That day is typically uneventful and a formality, and it widely promoted as a "stop the steal" protest, which was in support of Trump.

Harassed by people not shopping at his stores?
I shop at Rouses in Carrollton. I walked into a group of protesters harassing customers and employees

And instead losing sales form people that supported him before this fake arse apology?
Where are they going to shop now?

I would say a drop in sales is a ramification the owner of the store has to deal with
He has multigenerational wealth. Of course he will lose money, it goes without saying.
GMs, assistant managers, hourly employees, not so much. Of course sales drive bonuses for managers and dictates labor and available hours for hourly employees. I know a Gm at rouses, he says most weren’t pleased with what went down

Like Brees, this guy is just doing what he thinks he has to do to keep his job. He’s acting in the best interests of his family, and I don’t blame him, or Brees, or anyone who has done or will do the same for that. I don’t think we should abandon them because they caved to the pressure. They still feel the same way we do, and they need our support. Put yourself in their shoes. Then, remember the Golden Rule. Then, focus on finding out where the pressure comes from- and what needs to be done to relieve it. I agree, that it is a bitch move to apologize for something that you shouldn’t have to. Stop-loss measures are never attractive. But the true measure of a man, in my opinion, is how much shite he can take- and still keep going. I’m just saying that I think our collective internet wrath should befall those applying the pressure and those who enable it- not the victims of cancel culture. It’s open season. You, or I, could be next. ??

Does he honestly believe this is going to make his situation better? Now he has two groups of people angry at him rather than one.

Maybe not in your neighborhood. I grew up on the East side of Houma. They built a store there in the mid 80s, try again.

Will he take my groceries back?
Posted on 1/22/21 at 4:59 pm to jbgleason
Well I was gonna shop exclusively at Rouse’s. Now I won’t even go there. Bye bitch.

Yeah, he just went to hear Trump speak. Does he think people are that dumb?
Well I'll just be taking my business to A&P.

I will continue to shop at rouses in Gonzales because I support local businesses. If you’re upset Trump said some mean things on Twitter, then go shop at Walmart with all the lowlife. I support my town and my neighborhoods. I vote independent btw.
