I can't remember the last time I missed a game but I am at the point now where I start to lose interest during the game and basically put it on as background noise (usually during the 3rd quarter lol). Watching this team is just exhausting and has been for the last 5 years or so. No matter the coach, no matter the roster, it is the same bs year in and year out. I know its still early in the season, but man this team just isn't fun anymore.

I'm with you. I'm a little sick of having guys come in that everyone expects to be superstars, and then incompetent FO does jackshit.

I'm sick of not making shots, of not playing defense, and the same bullshite again and again no matter the coach, GM, or players.

Just constant mediocrity (at best) is weighing on me.

Griff needs to show something by next offseason or frick him.

I realize I have been one of the ones on here stressing patience and this was a multi-year process. But this shite is just pitiful.

I dug through my old texts to my buddy this morning. January 4th against the Pacers we were up double digits and getting ready to improve to 5-2 to start the year, I said "This is finally the year we take the leap!"

We've went 1-7 since I sent that awful text, I haven't been able to finish the last two games just physically painful to watch.

Man, I had an almost identical experience. I have one friend who I text back and forth with during games and I said something to the same effect. Pels playing defense, making adjustments, calling timeouts to stop a run! We're finally seeing coaching and progress! Then it all just falls right through my fingers like squeezing a handful of dry sand. Loving this team is a constant emotional beatdown. It's frustrating.

I have a post in that game thread with probably 2 minutes left and up 8 or whatever just saying how much I really like this team.

Now...I do not like this team.

Honest question. Is it normal to blow a 16-19 point lead and lost by almost 20? It seems to happen to this team.

Being a saints fan since I was a kid (I’m an old man) has prepared me for shitty performances.

I’ll hang in there and every year I will almost believe we are gonna be good.

It’s more normal than you think in this day and age with the pace and the 3 pt shooting, especially if you have a lead on a team that is truly much better than you.

Having a coach that’s main strategies consist of posting on twitter all day and then packing the paint even against elite 3 pt shooting teams also contributes.

The indy, okc, and charlotte losses were inexcusable and I think temporarily wrecked our confidence to a degree. I’ve actually seen improvements the last 3 games, but we were just up against elite teams.

Honestly, I think we all need to take a step back and have some perspective. Young teams and young players do not win in the nba. It’s a 3-7 year maturation process. Go peep the bucks back in Giannis first few years in a weak east or even the early okc thunder teams. When your best players are 20 and 23, you don’t win very many games in this league. You have to learn how to win in the nba. You can’t just dominate 1 year of college and lead a team to the playoffs. It never happens. Lebron is the exception and it didn’t happen year 1 for him and he played in the East.

I still think its fun to watch the games. I have zero expectations. This is not a title or bust season like the Saints. All I really look for is improvements in our 2 main guys (Ingram and Zion), which we see nightly, and also improvement from our other young guys (hayes, naw, kira), which we have also seen lately.

Step away from the ledge and look at the depth of mature talent in this league. Our window is in 3-5 years. Not now.

In the meantime, Let’s just enjoy the simple things like Ingram becoming KD Lite, Zion regaining his burst and absolutely bodying people, NAW getting comfortable and looking hella sexy, Hayes playing hard and splashing corner J’s, and KIRA running the 4th unit in the last 90 seconds of games and getting his shot opps hijacked by hermangomez and naji marshall.

Apathy is setting in with this team.

I want to care about them, but it's getting harder and harder to take this franchise seriously.

This. Happiness = reality - expectations.

Everyone knows what teams are good and which ones are not, which team can actually win a title, and which ones cannot. The tiers in the NBA are staggering.

The goal is to become playoff-worthy in the next 2 years. Ideally it would be this year, but it may not be in the cards (we are like 40% right now per Five-Thirty-Eight). A team like 2013 - 2018 Toronto is good progression model to follow. They were a mid-level playoff team 4 years before they finally broke through, partially thanks to Kawhi's ascension and GSW's injuries in the finals.

Ideally, in 2/3 years Zion is All-NBA caliber and balance of power hopefully begins to cycle back to Eastern conference, opening the door for a possible breakthrough to elite status.

Welcome to what a true rebuild looks like. All I heard on this board was how bad Demps is, his young vet strategy is so stupid, why is he trading all of our first round picks. Now we are doing it the right way for a team in a small market.

I was tired from work Thursday and went sleep without watching the game. It was on Dvr which I put on first thing in the morning before leaving for work. Once I ffwd and saw the lead at end of the first I prepped myself mentally knowing it was going to be gone by half and wasn't disappointed. Ffwd thru the rest of the game, left for work while listening to NolaJake rant and rave about the game. Get to work, YouTubed the post game conferences and watched Zions highlights and now I'm good mentally. As a few others the Indiana game hurt and to follow it up with okc and Charlotte just made it all numb. Since Kira didn't get run, I'll delete the game and it's probably gonna be the first one I haven't watched at least 5 minutes of in many years.

I will say, Zion is much watch TV so I'll still at least tune in for that. This weekend is actually a make or break for me. Gotta see something different, hoping Gabriel can at least go to the scorers table.

How are we doing it the “right way” you fricking moron? By having a mediocre roster of vets that play 99% of the minutes? The right way would be if we were playing all of our young guys (NAW, jax, Kira) the majority of the minutes and losing which is not what’s currently happening. We just have a really bad team that doesn’t compliment each other. This is the right way?

Reasons to watch: NAW, Ingram, Zion, Kira

Reasons to not watch: chemistry (bad), shooting (bad), perimeter defence (bad), losing games (bad)

Conclusion: I rather watch this team play and lose because of the players mentioned above then watch a better team barely win by just throwing up 3’s. I’m sorry but all these teams that just chuck 3’s up all day long, it becomes so boring to watch.

Beyond exhausted at this point.

We've had three generational superstars since this team moved here, and don't have shite to show for it.

In a sport where one great player has so much of an impact on win/losses, its almost impossible for us to be as bad as we are every...single...season.

How is it possible to have back to back first ballot hall of famers lead your franchise for almost 15 years and do NOTHING with them?

How is it possible we're doing it again!?!!?
