I think the answer is yes. 70%+ of NBA players could make an NFL roster

I bet less than 20% of NFL players could make an NBA roster

ETA: I put 20% to give a range, I shouldn’t have, I think it’s more like less than 5%

Your first statement is a lot more true than your second. Virtually everyone good enough to be in the NBA is in it. I think 20 percent is way too high.

I’d agree. The footwork of the guys in the nba and them being taller I think they could change their body. However, I don’t think most smaller nfl players could make the nba. Even the bigger guys, I don’t think they’d have the footwork.

No shot it’s that high.

Go look at combine numbers. Nfl players are so so so much more powerful. Even at their heavier weight they still have better jumping numbers than the nba players

Go look up NBA players throwing out the first pitch for baseball games. Talent in one sport doesn’t necessarily carry over to others.

Most teams don’t carry more than one pass catching tight end

15 players, 30 teams

32 tight end slots

Not unrealistic to think 7%

Two totally different skills sets. Physical attributes are only part of the formula. Gym rats aren’t necessarily athletes.

Not a dam one from either could make an mlb roster. What’s your point?

Way too high On both.

And nfl has nearly 4x as many players, so it will be much easier to make nfl
Bc of that.

nobody 6’10 and up playing in the nfl. And anyone a couple inches shorter would have to be able to have the frame to add weight to play as a lineman.

Wouldn’t 20% of the NFL be the majority of the NBA?

I would say it’s more like 15% of NBA players could make NFL rosters and 1% of NFL players could make NBA rosters if it had to happen tomorrow.

The difficulty of the shot taking in the NBA is pretty incredible if you compare it to 30 years ago. A random NFL player isn’t waking up tomorrow and shooting contested threes at a 37% clip.

Lol Kyrie quit on his team and was being a crybaby because he didn’t get to pick his coach. That motherfricker would hang up his cleats for good the first time he took a hit.

If they have to play a starters load as a position for 1 season, “most” NBA players (I.e. >50%) aren’t playing in the NFL.

NFL is more set up to try gimmicky Shiite just for fun, so yes every NBA player can step on the field athletically for a few plays and be no real liability. Even with average dude athletic skills, decoys are useful in football but worth next to nothing in basketball.

most elite athletes in the NBA could absolutely be a TE or DE. Quite a few of them even played QB or RB in high school.

Now NFL players... basically anyone under 6'2" probably has no shot unless they are very elite athletes. Your best shots are probably the tall athletic DEs being an undersized PF.

But yeah, I would imagine that many more NBA players could play in the NFL than vice versa despite the NFL having far more players.

But 70%...no.

I don't believe most NBA players could handle the physical part of the NFL.
