"See when I was growing up, I was told not to see race."
Black guy: "I don't know who told you that but it was probably a white guy."
Try Martin Luther King
Never would watch this show but are they actually making fun of SJWs and their stupidity or is NBC just pandering to morons?

Oh yeah, I'm glad this is back. Calton Dunn (Garrett) wrote this episode so I'm sure it will great for normal folks. I'll watch tonight.
Colton is not really handicapped. How dare he take an acting job from disabled actors.

I said the same thing while watching that scene.

It seemed like it was going the direction of making fun of SJWs for parts of the episode, but it just kept going back to preachy browbeating.

I felt the same way too. As someone else said, in earlier seasons, they would often bring up SJW issues but also poke fun at them as well. I kept waiting for there to be some big punchline...and there were a few light moments...but there was no payoff / punchline.

When the tragically underused recurring pharmacist character left the show, the tone took a sharp turn from "silly workplace comedy with a diverse cast". . .to "celebrate diversity and we'll try to squeeze in a joke or 2, but look how diverse we are at diversing"
Not caused by the guy leaving, but definitely the milestone I point to.

Damn, I totally forgot about the pharmacist. He was a great recurring character...what a shame he's been absent.

ETA: Apparently so is this show. I just realized it has been cancelled and this is the last season. Go figure.

Parks and Rec accomplished that well.
Which why it’s insulting that the comments in that video are calling it like Parks and Rec.
Apparently some people see the show making fun of these things but it seems more calling people out to me. Like they’re trying to relate or preach to people without an actual attempt at a joke.

Did MLK ever say to be colorblind or did he say not to judge a person, especially negatively on their color?
It's a common misconception on his Dream speech

If I am judging based on the content of their character rather than their color, I would be attempting to ignore everything but their character.
This is where the problem of “I want to be treated the same as everyone else” comes in. They get treated like anyone else and bitch about it because their group shouldn’t be treated like that.

Blackish got like this about three years ago. I’m surprised it’s still on the air.

Unicorn has entered the same level. Sad!

We are watching an art form being slowly snuffed out. T.V. and movies. One saving grace is there is so much stuff from the past we can still explore for a hefty fee from streaming services.

That is fine for you if that is your way about it.
I'm just saying King himself never argued we should ignore race, just that we should not have negative/positive opinions and worse based on race.

Pizza reparations lol and it was only garrett that was upset. The security guard was living it up
Also seriously why should black people have to have hair products opened only by key? That's a bit backwards
The show was obviously cancelled because American Ferrara left. That's very obvious

He said judge not by the color of your skin, but by the content of their character.
Character is more valuable than skin color, which should be seen as largely irrelevant.

It seems like a lot of stores, not too long ago, were putting Tide behind locks and it had something to do with it being coveted by meth heads, for some reason.
ETA that I really liked this show, but gave up on it around the the time that America Ferrera's character was going to ditch her husband for Jonah. It was already seeming pretty SJW back then.
