I worked at Central Stations Research unit for a few years, absolutely loved it.

Any research job in your major, especially if STEM. One of the quickest and easiest ways to build academic relationships with professors and admins. You also have a chance to contribute to a published paper. Plus if you do well enough they will hire you as summer intern making decent money.
Shortest answer, anything but one of those call center or survey jobs.

I worked directly for a professor who started a program called the Millennium Fund. I was able to make my own hours and found my own office (3rd attempt was the charm, office inside St. Albans).

buddy of mine worked the ticketmaster booth at the Union Theater ticket office. When there was an event we wanted to go to, he would print us off front row seats right when they opened.

I think working at UREC would be cool.

A friend had a job taking care of rhesus monkeys some professor was researching. They would shite in their hand and throw it at him when wasn't looking.

Look for work at the Cook hotel.
They like to hire students (especially Greek) with good heads on their shoulders. It’s often tough work(regarding the hours and times of the year your have to work) but the connections you make, people you meet, and the perks are great.
Plus you get to be at the center of the action on game day weekends

Probably the jobs at the place where exams were printed until some of the student workers there got busted for selling exams to premed students in the early 90s.

Student athletic trainer at UREC for a couple years. Spent most nights hanging out in the training room assisting folks with their rehab plans or out watching the intramural games. For those that remember SOA vs Spice was always a good showdown.

Early 80s I spent a summer and a fall working for the Ag Engineering Dept/USDA, my grad student supervisors were really cool. Ride around to the experimental farms all over south LA, collecting data from recorders, bushhogging, maintenance, had a government credit card for gas and expenses once they sent me out with my own truck. Accidently levelled a tin equipment shed with a front end loader on a tractor, we spent two days rebuilding it. Outside work, long lunch breaks, leisurely pace, fine-arse chick working in the office, I really enjoyed it.

Worked at TigerTalk for most of my LSU time. Was an arm of the LSU Foundation. I was the guy calling you assholes asking for donations. Pretty solid gig. I was making 12$/hr at the end of it all, managing the kids cold calling asking for donations. Plus they gave me a key to the building, which had a bunch of computers, AC and a bathroom and was conveniently located a block north of Tiger Stadium.
