Had my boat shipped from Minnesota using uship. About 1200 miles. The guy who bid on it had about 80 trips and 100% positive feedback. Felt pretty good about it. He even stopped at the store and got me some new transom straps.
jMorr34, what did that 1200 miles run you? I am not sure what to expect from uship quotes.

Whats your total estimate cost to fly, rent, and drive back? Not sure how it compares to using a service like uship.com
Not to mention, they are going to tack on a big charge for dropping in a different city. Would probably come out much better to get it delivered.

Home Depot rents trucks with hitches. Not sure if you can get a one way though

A little over 1200 miles ran me $1150. I think you could expect 600-800 for that trip. You'll get some quotes over 1000 too.

Unable or budget and get a truck.

What is the backstory here? You can't drive over to Orlando with your own vehicle? Or don't have the time?
Its a ten hr drive. For a boat I'd drive over and get it, spend the night somewhere and come home.

Flying anywhere and driving the return trip with a new boat makes a much better story.
And saves him a vacation day.
What color NS? I'll be looking for you driving by my house soon.

I’m not sure a one way tow is possible with anything outside of like a uhaul. I’m not sure uhaul has anything that will tow a large boat? It’s more for towing a vehicle on a move. I’ve done the Enterprise truck rental and it had to be round trip, but that may have changed.

I haven't used it 1 way so I'm ignorant there

Following up on this. I put a bid on uShip and received about 12 quotes in 2 days ranging from $675 to $1100, I went with one who had 50+ 5star ratings and was $850. Boat gets here Friday. I figured by the time I fly and rent and factor in my time driving, I could get more chores done here and justify more fishing time next week. Thanks for all of your input.

Bring your own hitch, rent a Tahoe it’s got a built in tow package. Don’t get caught.
Dove it several times

Just drive down, buy it, and bring it back.
1 day down and 1 day back.
Pretty simple.
