Any news on whether LSU is getting rid of Cregg yet?

OLine play last year was terrible. OLine recruiting has been terrible. They played well in 2019, but I give a lot of that to Joe being able to navigate and escape.

Can Russ Callaway coach O line?

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH Cregg was the OL coach for the Joe Moore award in 2019. Cregg was kept for a reason. The O line was as good as it could be under Cregg. The line was not very deep due to attrition and many injuries. Lastly a bad or a young QB can make an O line look bad. Brennan get injured and we had to play with two 18 year old QB's who barely knew the playbook. You are wrong about Cregg.

O cleaned house at the end of 2020 but didn't fire Cregg that tells you all you need to know about Cregg

So you give credit to a rookie starting guard with the Seattle Seahawks, a rookie starting center with the Denver Broncos, a 4th round NFL pick to the WFT, and a JC tackle turned Chicago Bears depth player.....to the QB? They got to the NFL because of ...the QB?

If they do, it would probably be right after signing day.

I didn't realize, until you just mentioned it, that Traore spent some time with the Bears this season.

Also, Saahdiq Charles started for the WFT but was then injured. So three rookie starters for the 2019 LSU team.

Plus, what 4 or 5 OL from last year are coming back. Part of the reason they are coming back has to be Cregg. Seems like he did a good job helping recruit them to come back anyway

Does that explain the lackluster rushing attack?

I heard ole Russ can coach S, DL, QB, LB, TE, and OL. Makes you wonder why we even pay Orgeron at this point.

You do realize these Oline problems are because he's an absolute shite recruiter leading us to our depth problems...right? I question his capability to develop lineman who haven't already sat in a system for awhile too. He hasn't really proven he can do that yet.

All the Ultra Pump Nuts simply don't understand this.

Brady had Burrow getting the ball out so fast, the OL didn't have to hold their blocks very long.

Simple concept to understand. Hard to comprehend for all the "They won an Award" Cheerleader nuts........

Is there a depth problem? I thought there was something like 13 scholarship players on the OL, all returning instead of the draft, with 2-3 big time recruits coming in.

3 rookie starters and a 4th spent time in the league as a rookie.

Why is this simple concept hard to understand? NFL scouts and coaches disagree with you - substantially.

Everyone has eagerly been waiting for Cregg to get fired, but there has been no hint that Orgeron is even considering that.

Just as it means. He hasn't proven he can develop a lineman he recruited 3-4 years to go to the NFL. The guys he had success with already sat in systems awhile be to be developed elsewhere whether it was JUCO or Grimes before him.

I don't think any recruit he has recruited has turned out to be anything other than attrition on our roster. And the few big ones he did land are strong attrition candidates right now on the roster. Don't be surprised if someone like Thomas or Bradford leaves.

His evaluations, his recruits on the line and zero have done shite here and plenty of whiffs in recruiting. He's an awful recruiter that's handicapping the roster regardless of what his developmental capabilities are which are debatable right now.
