An NHL player got stitches mid game and came back to play. In a regular season game.

This game is still played by tough guys who love to play hard just because. They’re paid well but not near any of the other 3 major sports. They’re far more humble. Even the super stars. They put the team first and the gear they put it into in the playoffs is on another worldly level.
NBA players fight with people on Instagram and load manage an 82 game season that a lot of teams basically coast through as it is.

Dude, you just realizing this shite?
Perfect example of how tough hockey players are, was years ago. Brendan Shannahan(Blues), got high sticked by Keith Tkachoke, cut his mouth all up, he was bleeding all over the place, had to get his inner mouth and lip sown shut to stop the bleeding.
He came back 5 minutes later, and then beat the shite out of Tkachoke, and left him bleeding on the ice after a beat down. None of that NBA/MLB slapping shite, he pulled a,"Meet me Behind Sonic" beatdown.

Funny you mention the NBA. Steve Nash did this in a game as well.
Maybe it's a Canadian thing

NBA players are tough. Sometimes they even cramp during the game.

Seem to recall one time saying you were from Virginia and came to LSU for school, so you may not know this old story, but this happened with LSU QB Tommy Hodson.
quote:
Oct. 18, 1986 - LSU 25, Kentucky 16: Redshirt freshman quarterback Tommy Hodson gets hit so hard he bites through his tongue and suffers a mild concussion, but after five stitches comes back to direct a typically gritty LSU victory in Lexington, Ky. The win keeps the Tigers on track for their first Southeastern Conference championship since 1970.
