The Thermapen Mk4 is the best one on the market hands down not even close. Just depends if you want to spend almost a hundred bucks. If you can wait a bit though, they run sales pretty frequently.

I don’t mind spending 100 bucks if it’s going to be reliable and actually work

Oh it works. Pop it in and you'll know in about a second exactly what the temp is.

I love my William Sonoma blue tooth meat thermometer. It has 4 probes that you monitor on your phone

Thermapen if you want top notch. Thermopop if you want the budget version. Have had one for 2 years with no complaints

I bought a meater+ a few months ago. There is a lot to love about it. Fully wireless, works with smart devices, estimates cooking time, reads meat temp and ambient temp.

Only negative would be the advertised connection range is not even close. They claim 165 feet, I probably get about 30-40 and it will disconnect. Connects right back when you get close though, so more of just a pain getting the alert on your phone every 5 minutes.

I had a knockoff thermapen (available on Amazon) and they're very good too. Lost it, so I got a Thermopop and it's solid enough.

I use the Smoke for anything that takes a while.

Leave in, for the grill/smoker

Should’ve clarified in the first post

I have an original thermapen and its awesome and pretty fast. The new one is even better.

I got an error code on mine about 2yrs into it. I sent it to them and the fixed it and sent it back with no charge. You can’t buy them anywhere, but on their site. I also have their smoke set up. They make good stuff.
