Gilbert may be home sick, but he might want to look elsewhere if true. It’s about time somebody looked at Kirby.

It's about damn time. Kirby Smart went 8-5 his first year and signed the top class in the country. It doesn't get more obvious than that.

Newsflash: Everyone cheats. Like Dan said, Kirby just got sloppy.

Going to play at UGA would be a death sentence for Gilbert’s career regardless of sanctions. There’s already another top TE recruit there and their offense is pretty pro-style and old school.

Interesting that the other school rumored to be in play for Gilbert was Tennessee, who sounds like they’re wrapped up in all of this too

I felt the same way. He’d be underutilized and essentially be there the next 2 years to block. At least we’d get him productivity.

Sounds to me like they're just trying to get rid of Pruitt with cause.

Dan Mullen got a show cause, Kirby is being investigated, LSU implemented a bowl ban....

Yet Alabama continues to go untouched year after year. Yes everyone cheats, but it’s not policed the same across the board.

ETA: Jimbo is now on the clock

I wish they’d at least look at Alabama’s “scholarships”. 27-28 year with 17 top 100 players is tough to keep up with.

Saban is best friends with Mark Emmert, current NCAA President. He's untouchable.

Our AD is in laws with Emmert. Why aren’t we untouchable?

Because Wade and Funes were both very public cases.

Everything we're currently in trouble for happened before Woodward was on the job in BR.

His High School QB is at Tennessee I heard on one of the talk shows a week or so ago.

That doesn’t mean the NCAA coming down on LSU doesn’t make Woodward’s job harder.

And Alabama gets to sign 26 players each year, while the other schools are only allowed to sign 25.

Was listening to a guy from 247 talk and he mentioned how they’ll ask a few guys to grey shirt and then give them a scholly the next year. It’s kinda crazy but from what I understand is completely legal.

FWIW, Someone in another post explained the Gilbert Tennessee connection as Harrison Bailey who was Gilbert's HS teammate and QB. I believe he is the heir apparent at UT.

Per a legit poster on another site in regards to TN and UGA...Big NoNo

“Paperwork has been turned in. They were both texting Gilbert while he was currently at LSU”
